Menu was clearly marked. More options on the dinner menu (entrees) then on apps and lunch items but my daughter enjoyed her meal. Beautiful setting right in the river.

After reading reviews of Pilot House I called ahead to ask about GF options. I was told by the person answering the phone that they ‘had a piece of paper which told you what to order without gluten’. When we arrived for dinner I requested a gluten free menu and was told they no longer had one but people usually order the scampi over vegetables instead of pasta. I started with a spinach salad which was really good and tried the scampi over vegetables. The vegetables were just barely steamed so they were still crisp which was good and the shrimp and scallops were really good. The cocktails were meh. I would go again if I were with friends who really wanted to go but I wouldn’t recommend it to celiacs or very sensitive gluten intolerant people.

The waiter didn’t know anything about gluten free at all, we got the “catch” which was blackened salmon with rice and green beans. The salmon and green beans were great. The rice was not good at all. Unless you like the catch of the day I wouldn’t recommend coming here at all due to the lack of gf options.

I used to love to eat there. Now that I’m GF the menu is limited. Nothing marked GF. I figured out something to eat. I told the super nice waitress that I was GF. She didn’t have any suggestions. Husband had bread & butter. No option like GF crackers etc. for me. Nice place but with so many GF people they need to get some rolls for sandwiches etc.
I think it is safe, but the shrimp and grits comes without grits!!! I ended up with a very bland salad ( I don’t recommend the Caesar salad without croutons) The salad was bland! Don’t waste your time. GF options are minimal
no gluten free pasta, no fried oysters and no gluten free breading to even use the deep fryer
O. M. G. This place is incredible. Pecan chicken was to die for. Very friendly staff and a beautiful view of the river.
My daughter has Celiac's disease. We went to the Pilot House for lunch today. They offer a GF menu. The menu had several items and sides. The food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive to our needs. They have GF house made chips that were verified to be celiac friendly. We would definitely go back.
