They could make any pizza with gluten free crust, and it was a nice crunchy texture (very different than their normal crust - similar to a cracker crust). The pizza was a nice size and was very filling as well. Also, phenomenal vegan options - cheese and 2 different kinds of meat (vegan pepperoni is not gluten free though). They said they would take extra precautions, and even though the majority of the restaurant is gluten-based, I feel great after eating it.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Used clean gloves/surface areas/sauce spreaders and placed foil under our gluten free pizzas when cooking to reduce the risk of cross contamination. Pizza tasted great! Only difference was the crust is a little crispier. There’s still a risk of exposure in a pizza chain, but so far no negative reactions (2 days post meal). Salads available as well.
My husband is newly-diagnosed with celiac, so we are still experimenting and learning. We tried a gluten-free pizza from PMH’s 41st Ave, Capitola, location. Pizza was different from their usual style—flatter and crunchier—but very tasty. Unfortunately, the next day, hubs’ diarrhea returned, and the pizza was really the only likely culprit. Unfortunate, because this PMH is very conveniently located, and always has nice staff. But we probably won’t risk it again.
