I was surprised to find a quick location to grab a sub sandwich in Deep Ellum... And it's delish I got the creamy sub with chicken! They made sure to let me know what had gluten in it.
best gluten free sub I've had. amazing. pretty sure the bread is made of corn though, so watch for that unless you are ok with corn.
They have gluten free bread which is decent and they prepare gluten free orders separately! The chairs and tables are covered in breadcrumbs though so I don’t recommend you eat there and instead get it to go if you’re a celiac. I did and I had to wash my hands and then not touch ANYTHING but my food, won’t be making that mistake again. Also, the person taking orders was not helpful with question answering, but they have GF bread, you can get a regular or a large, and they prepare your food separately.
Celiac's, must stop here! I have a gluten and dairy allergy and ate safely. The manager and staff were great about accommodating my allergy and concern for cross contamination. I had the tuna sub and it was delicious! The bread was amazing! Great place.
Very impressed! I have an intolerance for gluten so a little won't hurt me. I ordered the Parmesan Tater tots and they came back out to check with me since they are not labeled specifically gluten free! Very understanding!! Good food too!! Will definitely be back!
We just went today for the first time after seeing the reviews on this site and having followed their feed on Facebook for a while (knowing that they were going to be opening in the area and curious as to what they were about). They did not disappoint. My son who is gluten intolerant got a buffalo chicken sub on one of the gluten free buns that they carry (I believe they are Udi's brand that are available to the restaurant industry but sadly not available in stores yet). He was so happy to finally have a sub sandwich again! I got the Sriracha sub that is one of their current featured subs on a regular bun (not GF) and it too was very good. It did take an extra 4 to 5 minutes for our order as they assured us that they clean everything to ensure no cross contamination but it wasn't a big deal since we had time to wait. Also, they feature Kettle brand potato chips and I believe most, if not all, are GF (my sea salt vinegar ones were). We will definitely be back.
Sub was amazing. They really understand gluten free.
This place is fantastic for a simple sub shop! The GF bread is Udi's but when I spoke with the folks working, they were knowledgeable and accommodating of my allergy. They told me what NOT to order and offered to make it completely GF outside the shared space.
They know about cc. M wife and son really like the sub buns. Fresh ingredients.
My family loves being able to eat sandwiches on gluten free bread. It is freshly made several times a day. I even buy extra loaves and use the break in my kid's school lunches. They love it! Awesome place.
Good food and safe prep. Greatly appreciated!
Very good gluten free bread. So good that I went back to the counter twice to ask them to double check that my Super Hero sub was on GF bread. My wife said the GF bread was better than he "glutenful" bread. The second time they went into the back and came back with a gluten free sub roll packaged in plastic to reassure me that I did indeed have the GF bread.
Excellent!! They were very careful
Gluten free sub buns are baked on premises. They taste good, but fall apart quickly- crumbly.
Was super excited to read other reviews, been wanting a sub for a long time... hubby went to order and they couldnt find the box of gf bread, then when he asked if they had the ability to heat it, they said yeah they can heat any sub-he rementioned the gf part (like a seperate area for gf) and they dont have a designated place to heat. So, never got to try them bc of the lack of confidence from employees and the lost box of gf bread. Rest of fam tried them out, they were happy.
Delicious - my family loves the "Planet Sub" baked sub. The owners have gone out of their way to offer GF bread for all of their subs. They use dedicated equipment for preparation and baking. The sub offerings are unique with fresh, quality ingredients - so much better than s--way!! The GF bread is fresh and delicious! If you're traveling on I-44 (or Route 66) I highly recommend a stop here. They will also do a lettuce wrap if you prefer. UPDATE July 2016 - new GF bread recipe, even better!!!
Very disappointed! Terrible service the staff was very rude. They weren't very concerned about cross contamination. We should have just left but we already started ordering and the other reviews on here were good. We got our food and there was hair in one of the subs. Not to mention the bread was crumbling and in pieces. Don't waste your time!!!!
