Wonderful experience but not celiac safe. The GF bread was quite delicious and made my Elk burger fantastic. They stated that they take allergies seriously but cannot guarantee no cross contamination as the fries and other items are cooked on the same fryer/grill as gluten items. Delicious but definite cross contamination issues if that affects you!

There are technically GF menu items but many items marked GF are not. They share oil and fryers. Why bother buying gluten free chicken tenders then cook them with gluten? The wait staff raved about being celiac friendly and how locals come there just for the celiac diet but then fries, chicken, and other items were said to not be celiac friendly because of obvious cross contamination. We ordered them were alerted to change orders. Salads or tuna, or a burger with a gf bun and no fries were the options. Extremely disappointing to see so many items labeled GF then not be.

We love platypus and gnome. the menu is clearly marked what meals are gluten free (gf) and which ones can be made gluten free (gf). they do not offer gluten free buns, but my partner says the gluten free bread is still pretty good. burgers are so big here they will usually fall apart, gf or not. everything we have tried is delicious. the restaurant is also so cute and a wonderful dining experience.

I don’t recommend this place at all. There are GFs all over the menu but the gf chicken tenders and fries are fried in a shared fryer. Learning this, I ordered the steak but then was told the potatoes that came with the steak also go in the shared fryer. So just steak and veggies for me. Very boring and not worth $30.

The food was delicious. Got the ostrich burger on Gf bread. It was messy, but the sauce was great. The meat was tough and of course the bread was fragile. Fryer is NOT dedicated. Mixed veggies great Too bad waitress dumped utensils on my lap and ruined my clothes.

I’ve eaten here twice and had a good experience both times. The food was excellent both times and the server very helpful about gluten free options and assured me they had a dedicated fryer.

Very disappointed. Most of the menu says gluten free but there is no dedicated fryer so it’s not actually safe. Waitress had no knowledge but was nice enough to go ask the chef.

After reading the reviews, I thought I would give this restaurant a go. I was a bit disappointed that the fries and chicken tenders, although GF, were not fried in a separate fryer, but with their fried pita bread too...so they are cross-contaminated. The staff were super friendly, but they were short-staffed which made the service really slow. Idk if I will try there again, but if I do, it will be a different time of the day with different menu options.

Waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable towards GF allergy and what was done in the kitchen. Awesome experience and we will be back.

Best chicken strips ever. And the fries were bomb. Everything is very carefully labeled. Such a fun menu and it was a super difficult decision. Would highly recommend
The atmosphere is fun and the service was great. They were very accommodating and the black bean chili with pumpkin goat cheese was so tasty.

Wonderful food. Very eclectic menu and waitress was helpful. Every entree was GF. Best meal we have had in a while. Lemon crumble dessert was fabulous.
No GF buns for burgers only GF bread. Lamb poutine was GF and really good. Kids chicken tenders are GF also and very good.

Very knowledgeable, our waitress answered all my questions and was open and understanding about everything! No dedicated fryer so just stay clear of the fried foods (including french fries) if you're sensitive like me, but there are several other options and they were willing to adjust menu items to accommodate. A huge list of gluten free items already on the menu, though
This restaurant HAS a shared fryer so everything fried is not celiac friendly
Had a great burger here. Server was very informed about gluten and their french fries are GF (and delicious).

Great little place! I had a steak panini on gf bread! it was delicious! 😍

Fantastic!! #worryfreeglutenfree contrary to what another diner said, this place is perfect not just for GF but also for dairy free and even AIP. The fries are in a GF fryer and most menu it’s either are, or can be, GF. Try the Elk burger!
Waitress was too lazy to check if fries were cross contaminated on the same fryer so I just ended up getting a salad and requested gloves to be changed. Still reacted to it and feel horrible even 8 hours later. Only would recommend if you’re a fad dieter.
