This place is awesome! They have a gf menu and Server was knowledgeable. I had a new “Summer Special Salad” with grilled Mahi-Mahi on top of fresh greens, candied pecans, feta and raisins. The kicker was the tasty citrus vinaigrette; it was so refreshing and tasty. Needless to say, I did not get sick. They also made a great Margarita and have outdoor seating that is dog friendly.

Server Alexys H was extremely friendly - we spent about 10 minutes talking about what gluten is

When she brought our meals out there were two fried balls on top of my meal (which I have learned were hush puppies) so I questioned if it was gluten free - she instantly felt terrible and said oh my gosh no I’m so sorry! She explained that it was her mistake and when she brings food out she grabs the hush puppies and puts them on the plate and put of habit it was her fault - she explained she would have the entire meal remade from scratch

She felt so terrible that she came back out and had been crying - she was so apologetic and truly felt so bad. It took 20 minutes but they brought me out a brand new meal and I was ok with it but she still kept apologizing

(I get so sick so I always quadruple check)

Anyway I had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken with salsa, baked potato and veggies. Portions were huge and I have leftovers.

I do recommend but just make sure that you double check and question

It was fabulous. Server and kitchen went all out to make sure our meals were gluten free plus I have a strawberry allergy and the salad i wanted had strawberries & blueberries so I received a very generous portion of blueberries. Highly recommend it. My tuna steak tasted like a filet mingon!

The waitress did a great job letting me know what accommodations could be made, and was flexible with substitutions. She came out to let me know that the kitchen accidentally put hush puppies on my plate and were remaking it. Great attention and care provided!

On vacation with the family and decided to go to Pompano Joe’s. I have a gluten sensitivity and saw really good/mixed reviews about this place. My experience was very pleasant. They had a separate gluten free menu and even vegetarian options listed on it. I really only wanted grilled shrimp and it wasn’t listed on the menu but could be added to certain items. Our waitress was very nice and made a note that I was gf so the back would know. I ordered grilled shrimp with mixed veggies and white rice. So so good. Definitely will come back here!

We eat at Pompano Joe’s every year during our vacation. This year we had a terrible experience! I ordered grilled shrimp with steamed veggies and a baked potato. Waitress was very nice and understood I have Celiac’s. She accidentally brought out fried shrimp. Took it back. 20 minutes later brings out grilled shrimp with fried hush puppies ON TOP of the shrimp. 25 minutes later brings out the right order. This was 30 minutes after my family had finished their meals!And it wasn’t cooked or seasoned well.

The service was not good and the food wasn’t that good either. Had to ask several times for the gluten free menu and when I got my food it was cold. Got the jerk chicken which was pretty good but the steamed veggies that came with the dish were cold, undercooked, and had no flavor.

My waiter seemed very confused (at best) about the gluten free options. I had to actually educate him via the gluten free menu I found online and just hoped he communicated it correctly to the kitchen. The atmosphere was cool but I definitely want confident in the safety of the food. It was also extremely dryyyyyy chicken.

Gluten free menu is online to view. Although I am grateful to be able to eat with my family, the mahi was over cooked and dry. It had no season or flavor either. The baked potato was good (although just a potato) and the veggies were cooked well but over seasoned.

My family liked their food and the server was very nice.

Staff had zero idea and nothing was marked on the menu. No GF menu was to be found.

Came back after food was served with correction about menu. Thankful that chefs understood her notes.

Food was good. Celiacs ordered snow crab, blacken mahi mahi, and island shrimp. Food was very good but no understanding of celiac in the kitchen. Ordered specifically with each order: gluten free, no hush puppies, no croutons. It was even on our payment ticket but still came out with hp and croutons. Had to have salad remade. We had a large group so... but may be a problem for those a very sensitive. They obviously don’t get cross contamination if they don’t get direct contamination.

Our waitress was very sweet but didn’t seem to get the importance of gluten free for celiacs. She brought out the steak with three hush puppies on top. We sent it back and waited another 20 minutes for the replacement meal. Honestly, we were glad it took that time otherwise we suspected they would take off the hush puppies and send the same steak back out.

While the gluten free menu is small, it is yummy. I asked the server if the ranch was gf and she didn’t know. She asked the chef who gave her a package of the mix for me to look at the ingredients. Sure enough, wheat was an ingredient. I got the peel and eat shrimp! They were delicious!

Love this place. I eat here each time I visit PCB. Had the island shrimp last night. Very good. Staff doesn’t run from the gluten free thing.

They had a gluten free menu and very knowledge of gluten free items. They prepared the food great! I had the Seafood Sampler broiled Mahi Mahi, jumbo Gulf Shrimp, scallops with steamed vegetables.

Celiac friendly?

Sooo good! Waiter was extra helpful and made sure he would let the kitchen staff know i was gluten free. I had peel and eat shrimp and the blackened shrimp with a loaded bake potato. It was so delicious and i get fine after eating.
