Ate dinner here last night - excellent GF menu. Love that it is a separate menu and not just "ask our server about GF options" that we see at other places. The GF pizza crust was very thin and crispy. We prefer this style to the thicker GF crusts out there. We ordered the Sweet lil' Razorback which is pepperoni, sausage, bacon, basil, garlic and cheese. It was great. Was cooked in a separate disposable pan to prevent cross contam. Service was very good. They poured big glasses of wine which was great after a day of cross country driving with 3 small kids in a suburban. We have to plot out all our travel meals during these drives and we made a special trip to this location bc of what they offered - we were not disappointed and my 9 yr old who has celiac was in pizza heaven. Btw, this is a corner store of a strip mall so its not glamorous but has outdoor & indoor seating and works out just fine since they delivered on the GF food experience.
LOVE the Lean Machine with the Gluten Free crust. Usually ask them to run it thru an extra time to get crust xtra crispy & the GF pasta w/marina is good as well. I'm very a picky eater, so was very pleased to find this GF menu.
ordered the chicken torino which came with a dinner salad. both were big enough for us to split. the pasta and sauce were delish and the salad had lettuce, gr. peppers, carrots, tomato, and cheese. yummy dinner. wait staff was very friendly and the wait was minimal.
After reading their review at the link below, I decided to give them a try after being newly diagnosed with Celiac. Impressed! We eat there weekly now. http://glutenfreelivingnow.blogspot.com/2012/12/dining-gluten-free-at-puccinis-smiling.html?m=1
While they have a lot on their menu that is "gluten free" I do not recommend if you have an allergy to gluten. I had their gluten free pasta and it must have been contaminated because I got very sick. I have not had their pizza so I cannot speak for that but I will not be having their pasta ever again.
Went there for the first time yesterday and omg so good!! Best GF pizza I've had .. Got the sweet Lil razorback .. Has pepperonis smoked sausage bacon garlic and basil wow it was so good. And they are very knowledgeable .. And I didn't get sick! My non GF boyfriend said his regular pizza was better than pizza king .. WOW lol we will def be back!
From a gluten-free standpoint, it's awesome! Yet it sometimes exceeds my college budget so I can only go there maybe once or twice a week. Despite its pricyness, Puccini's is truly a magical place for those with Celiac or gluten sensitivity. They have an extensive dedicated gf menu and even go to the lengths of bringing out GF bread! This is a GF must!
Ask for separate gluten free menu. I had spinach artichoke dip with gf bread and then 4 cheese spaghetti that was all delicious. In thinking they also carry gf beer but I've yet to try it. It indicates on menu that the kitchen is not gf so there could be cross contamination, although I've not had a reaction from eating there.
My husband is super sensitive to cross contamination and he's never been sick from this pizza. They know what they're doing and they already have a GF menu that is EXTENSIVE and that they can stand behind. The pizza is truly delicious and it's easy to confidently share a meal here knowing that the GF person doesn't have to compromise taste!
My server has celiac also. She was very helpful. She told me how the food is prepared and the precautions they take for someone with celic. The GF menu is very extensive. The first time I had a delicious GF pizza. The second time I had Scamorza for an appetizer and a ham and cheese sandwich made on Udi's toasted bread with chips and hot peppers. It was all delicious and I was very satisfied with my experience.
