Knowledgeable and helpful staff to select gluten free meal. Came with friends who eat here regularly and safely. They have detailed binders of ingredients for customers to read. I had the Dahl Bowl with fresh micrograins that they grow on site!
The food here is excellent, however, when asking if the gluten-free menu is celiac safe we were told no! The person taking our order stated that they make no claims of being allergy safe. Unfortunately, we didn’t heed that warning and my wife got sick (she has celiac) with typical symptoms of ingesting gluten. It’s too bad because the food is really tasty, but not worth getting sick over.
The staff said they have dedicated utensils and plates that they use for gluten-free preparation. More than half of the menu is naturally gluten-free and the entire menu is vegan. Servings seem a little small for the price, but it’s all made fresh to order with quality ingredients. I’m freshly diagnosed so I can’t speak for how much I do/don’t react from potential cross contamination, but so far so good.
Edit 11/3/2018: We ate there today and ordered gluten-free, specifying it was for celiac and the staff replied "we can't be held responsible for anything that happens to someone with celiac." So all the initial question-asking and reassurance that they use different utensils and plates is useless information. I ate it anyway, but I would not say this is celiac friendly.
Great GF vegan options. Menu is a bit confusing, food wasn't really hot when it came out and atmosphere could be improved. Too much like a coffeehouse but overall a great place to eat!
