Review of Pushkin's Bakery

Update 4/4/2016: Pushkins is totally my favorite gf bakery ever now. Their cupcakes are super great now (chocolate coconut is my fave). They have real delicious donuts on Sundays. The vegan sandwiches rock. I can't wait until their restaurant opens.

Update 9/18/13: I prefer gf Mariposa Bakery in Oakland, but Pushkin's is ok. Their cupcakes are always too dry but they look pretty and the flavors are interesting (lemon meringue!). Cookies and macaroons are great. Smores cookie is yummy too. I'm glad there is a gf bakery in Sacramento, but I have to wonder if the people who think this is the best gf bakery have ever been to Mariposa.

Original review from 2/2013: Pushkin's is a dedicated gluten free and dairy free facility. They are new to having a bakery but have been catering for awhile now. They make cookies, cupcakes, and breads (like banana or zucchini). Many of their items are also vegan. The cookies are good. The one cupcake I tried was a little dry but the frosting totally made up for it. If they had chairs and tea, I would totally hang out here every weekend morning.
