Food was really good and service was good. No gluten reactions. Gluten free items were marked in the menu.

Told them I had a gluten allergy and they brought sushi out mixed with boyfriend’s sushi (with gluten). So disappointing.

Gluten free items are clearly marked. They have a slightly spicy sauce that is gf and soy sauce that is gf. The owner's mother is celiac and he understands and is wonderful. I am so happy right now.

I've eaten here several times, owner is super conscientious of allergies, is willing to go over and check ingredients, and even double check with you. He swapped out cutting boards and knifes to avoid cross- contamination, and will change or substitute ingredients. This is one of the most allergy friendly places I have even eaten.

I feel very comfortable eating here and they will check the labels for you if you are unsure about anything! The menu now states items that are GF, just be sure to ask to get your roll on a separate tray. Sometimes they do run out of GF Soy sauce so bring your own just in case!

Sushi was good, I made sure to order separately from the rest of my family, because food comes out on a large platter. The menu is labeled very clearly and when my food was brought out the waitress said “allergy order”. Had no reactions and everyone who I went with enjoyed their food as well!

I could rate higher because they do have GF Sushi; however, how do you have sushi but don’t offer tamari only soy sauce? 🤷🏼♀

I work at Raw, and am happy to say that I eat here every shift without ever getting sick, and I’m very sensitive! The owners/managers/chefs are VERY knowledgeable about allergies and celiac. There are a few things to stay away from, like dark sauces, anything tempura, and the kani, but everything else is safe. They have gf soy sauce as well. There is also a GF menu coming soon!!

Raw Ingredients is really the best place to eat on Tybee. I'm a local and this is where all the locals under 50 eat. They will check every ingredient for you. You can have sushi, bowls, the tuna stuffed avocado, even the seaweed salad here. They have GF saki and seltzers if you want to drink. Just stay away from the dark sauces (the soy and eel sauce) and ask about the tempura before ordering. They do include soy sauce all the time in a separate container out of force of habit but please do remember that it is not gluten free so don't use it. Otherwise this place is completely safe even for other celiacs and is probably the most gluten free restaurant on the island. I've never gotten sick here and eat their food 1 - 2 times a week. Highly recommend!
