My son has a gluten/wheat allergy so we would quickly know if there was any cross contamination or gluten in his meal, but we have never had an issue. They have a dedicated gluten free frier and their food is delicious!

I have had a couple of good experiences at this location testing with my Nima sensor. I ordered the same burger this time that I order every time (Mushroom & Swiss with regular fries). The burger tested positive for gluten (I tested the mushrooms, jam, burger, sauces & bun). I tested the fries separately & they were safe. The server this time seemed to think as long as it had a gluten-free bun it had to be gluten-free. The manager seemed to want me to trust his word over the “gluten found” on my sensor. They didn’t charge me for my burger but the experience this time as a whole did not feel as safe as my other experiences at this location.

The staff was knowledgeable and most of the menu could be made gluten free. They also have a dedicated fryer and their french fries were delicious! My food also came out on a plate of a different shape and color to identify that it was GF.

The menu items can easily be modified to gluten-free. They have dedicated frier. They have many great burger options & soup and salads. They even have avacado cheesecake that my non-gluten-free husband tried and liked. Very good food. Think upscale burger place. so very good.

I have celiac disease and it is very difficult to find a casual dining restaurant that offers comfort food that is gluten-free.
The Buffalo Cauliflower, wings, & burgers are wonderful! An actual GF bun that isn’t gross! Yippie!
The waitress did not make me feel high maintenance and was very understanding.
She also reassured me that they have a separate fryer that they use for a gluten-free items.

All the burgers and most of the sandwiches can be GF with modifications. They have GF buns and the chicken needs to be grilled vs breaded and fried. I had the grilled chicken and whipped brie sandwich on a GF bun and tots as my side. The tots were great and the sandwich ok, but the bun was pretty bad. Turned to mush from liquid of the sandwich, it did not hold up at all. The taste and texture were not appealing at all and I ended up using fork and knife to eat it off the bun.
They bring beer and donuts to the table as a sample, neither GF.
Bloody mary was good!

We went twice during our trip to the cities. Our first night I was really impressed! Dedicated prep and cooking space, dedicated fryer, GF buns, etc. our waiter was knowledgeable and immediately asked if there was an allergy when we asked about GF options. It was so refreshing to feel like a restaurant actually cared! I had the so cal Vegan burger. The first night was a little better than my second trip. The cheese was more melted and the toppings were more generous. My second trip wasn’t bad by any means, but just slightly less great than the first. Overall it was a positive experience as a celiac though! I will absolutely come back!

The staff was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free and not. The menu was very well labeled and anything I had a question about the staff was able to answer.
Yes
I’m sad to share this but it is a lesson for due diligence on everyone’s part.
Before I ordered, I shared that I had celiac and was quickly assured that my meal would be made gluten free with diligence given to cross contact (changing gloves, dedicated fryer, etc). The server said that they were writing it down as serious and would talk to the kitchen staff. Later, when my meal came, I again asked for confirmation that it was gluten free and was told it was. I was skeptical because the bun looked the same as glutinous ones but I did not think to press it in the moment. While I was eating fries but before I bit into the burger, a manager came over asking if I had ordered a gluten free burger. After I said yes they apologized and took the plate away. The server came back over and apologized and said that it was the fault of the kitchen because they (the server) had asked the kitchen staff before taking it that it was gluten free. Later, the manager said that there were multiple points where both the server and kitchen staff should have caught it and is planning on talking to all of the staff because of this misstep. I thanked the manager because this is serious and many people’s health depend upon it, especially when Red Cow is often recommended on #GFTCMN.
TL;DR listen to your instincts and ask questions/ask to speak to a manager when ordering. But even when you do, mistakes still happen.

Have eaten here several times without issue, but my last visit, I got sick. We typically go during slower times, but this time was a very busy Saturday night. After reading other reviews, I would say that they are still Celiac Friendly, but you have to be diligent every time you go. I admittedly have become lax after several times of going, but just telling them I had celiac and needed to be gluten free was not enough the last time.
Yes
Amazing gf options! Dedicated fryers too. We got to have french fries, I can't remember the last time I ate restaurant fries. Delicious!
Great spot for a patty melt on the patio! Good GF beer options and incredibly kid friendly...

I have eaten here practically a million times, and NEVER gotten glutened! Consistently Friendly staff, get the Manhattan 2.0, it’s clearly the best on the menu. They also have a dedicated fryer!
Yes
The staff, for the most part, was extremely knowledgeable about gluten free items on the menu, and how to prepare everything safe enough for those of us with celiac. And when someone didn’t know, they always go and get someone. This has become our go-to restaurant. They even have a gluten free fryer!! Also VERY vegetarian/vegan friendly.
Yes
Great food and the service was very knowledgeable. They take good care not to cross-contaminate the food and the food itself is delicious.

Celiac- sick the two times I ate here. I won't be doing that again... :(
Dedicated gluten free fryer, and a delicious gluten free bun. Did not get sick, and the food was absolutely wonderful.
Had a delicious gluten free grilled cheese and tomato soup. Restaurant offers a ton of GF options. Reasonably priced and great service.
gluten free corn puffs coveted in caramel and bacon were great. breakfast burger with a gluten free bin was awesome. Separate boiler for fries. They even have gluten free beer options. Super celiac friendly.

Have separate fryer for French fries. Sweet potato fries are NOT gluten free. Tell them of the allergy and very accommodating. Great burgers!!
Delicious! I had the turkey burger with fruit and shared the apple/bacon/blue cheese poutine as an appetizer. I wouldn't definitely go here again!

Yes
severe celiac... have given this place 2 chances do to the good reviews, both times burger with an untoasted bun to make sure, with fries, both times severe digestion issues - won't go back - when busy expect cross contamination
No
We visited the Red Cow from out of town, it is a family member’s favorite. The waitress was knowledgeable and indicated they had a dedicated fryer. We ordered the GF boneless wings and the French onion chips & dip and for my meal a burger with GF bun and truffle fries. I am sad to say that I do believe there was some cross contamination. I had a reaction within 5 minutes of the appetizers and it seemed to get worse as the food compounded. It was a minor reaction so gluten sensitive would probably be safe but I would walk with caution on the fried food as a celiac. It was super flavorful though and the staff was very friendly but I am sad to say I don’t think I will be eating here again.
