Very friendly to allergies!! Management came out explained their processes and one to one handeling of my plate. It was the first time i ate out and didnt get sick!! Celiac safe!
The only place in this area that was open when I needed to eat on my road trip. Not many options since they were out of all fresh fish, but certainly better than nothing.
The wait staff was very friendly and very accommodating of my celiac and dairy allergy. The manager even came over to ensure me of the precautions they were taking to make sure there was no cross-contamination. I had the crab legs with green beans and it was delicious.
— No gluten-free information on the menu
— Not Much
I had the Caesar salad loaded baked potato and lobster, for the most part everything was great though it was my first time getting lobster and I wasn’t too crazy about it. The Waitress Was very knowledgeable about GF and did a great job couldnt ask for better from her.
— Separate gluten-free menu
Staff was helpful in answering my questions. I got the salmon broiled and mashed potatoes. Taste was great and I never got sick 🙌
Not celiac friendly at all. Side salads always have croutons in them despite asking for none every time, sometimes we can see the crumbs in there like they just picked them out! We've eaten there many many times and gotten sick every time. They sometimes set rolls and other gluten food and top of our food even when told we have allergies. One time when we asked for a replacement because the food was glutened the waiter said they could just "throw it on the grill to cook the gluten off" really disappointing because I used to love eating here.
The gluten-free menu and helpful server made me feel safe eating here. We he didn’t have the answer he went to check with the kitchen. The food was good, and I didn’t get sick afterwards.
The server, Colin, was very attentive to my dietary needs. He had a gluten free menu, was patient with my questions, and allowed me ample time to order, so I didn’t feel rushed. The food was very good and I had no nasty consequences afterwards.
Having Celiac disease and many allergies, its is a challenge to eat out without getting sick. This was the best eating experience. The manager, Stephen Busco, personally insured my food was safe for me to eat. He came by the table when he had questions. He stopped by at the end of our meal again to see how our dining experience was. This Red Lobster has the most caring manager and it shows in how the wait staff treated us, which was very accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I was actually very surprised how well I did it this restaurant. There were a number of choices that I could choose from. There was dedicated GF menu. I called ahead and spoke with the manager and he assured me that if I choose off that menu that I should be very safe. Anything that is broiled, specifically, is safe because they item ia put and cooked in a glass crock type dish. That way, there is no contact with the grill/oven/etc. Still nervous, the day that we went to the restaurant I spoke with the manager and the waiter and they both assured me that I would be safe with what I chose. I chose broiled shrimp and scallops, baked potato, and broccoli. It's been 4 days and I've had no symptoms. The waiter was very good working with me and very patient. Being this was the first restaurant that I have eaten in since my diagnosis six months ago, he was calm and answered all my questions and I felt safe about eating there. I would highly recommend going to this location.
Ask for the gluten free guide when they seat you - it’s a book - but you won’t regret it. All staff we have encountered have asked the chef if they are not knowledgeable about gluten in certain dishes, just ask. I have “go-to” fav’s: Skewered scallops, shrimp, baked potato, steamed broccoli & salad. So far no reaction, but I take a supplement, “gluten cutter”, when eating out ANYWHERE. You never know where there could be cross contamination, and this supplement has saved me on the road. My husband and I have been going to this Red Lobster for years and I would’ve given them a five star, but since Red Lobster left the Darden group, their food has changed a bit.
Have a manager take your order. We had a great experience at the North Little Rock location
The staff was very helpful! They knew what I could eat. Since I’m also a vegetarian it can be hard finding something. But there’re many options. I had a salad which was extremely delicious. PLEASE NOTE: the steak with the fries and the Ceasars salad were my boyfriend‘s food. He’s not eating gluten free!
I don’t recommend this restaurant for anyone avoiding gluten. They are not knowledgeable about gluten free items. They removed they’re gluten free menu. They have an allergen menu which is very difficult to go through and in my experience it accurate. And some of the items they claim are gluten free are NOT gluten free. For example their shrimp scampi they claim is gluten free when they’re sauce has gluten. This is not a safe place to eat. You don’t know what they are doing to steam the shrimp or crab either with fresh water or pasta water.
We went back today after a long time. We used to get the steamed crab. They changed their policy and share the water they steam the crab in with the pasta. So if you have Celiac you will be at risk. Be ware.
The manager, Eric, was exceptional! He took his time to make me feel comfortable and to personally prepare everything for me. He even cleaned the tray before serving my food. The crab legs, baked potato, broccoli and salad was delicious
Gluten Free menu, allergen list and helpful staff. Great food and great service.
They are fantastic and always help with whatever questions I have, and will willing bring out a manager with any other questions!
What a pleasant surprise! Stefan the manager (also Celiac) was very knowledgeable. Unlike Applebee’s, they actually have a dedicated GF menu and were very helpful. The food was delicious and we did not get sick. We’d definitely go back!
Their gluten free menu had maybe 5 items on it all appetizer type things. The waiter was awesome and double checked things for us but my son and daughter who need gluten free were both glutened and spent the next few days sick. They also over cooked a lot of our food.
I ordered a lobster tail, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw... to be gluten free. The lobster tail was literally the size of a large shrimp, 1/4 the size of the one my husband received and there was a large crouton in my coleslaw, luckily I saw before I tried it. It was awful soggy too, but hey they offered me another one! Haha. Didn’t leave sick but hungry. Never will go back!
GLUTEN/CELIAC FRIENDLY! I was very surprised at their response when I inquired about gluten free options. My celiac disease makes it so that I just eat salad while everyone else gets the goodies. They immediately showed me a gluten free menu, and the manager came out and assured me that she would inform the cook to change his gloves, use all the cross contamination preventatives, etc. The waitress was very careful in double checking my selections for gluten. I appreciated their attentiveness so much! Made for a fantastic lunch. I ate well that day and didn't suffer a bit for it.
The server seemed fairly knowledgeable of gluten free items and their website does a good job of explaining what is gluten free. I was a little reluctant to go, but I took the chance because my dad wanted to go for his birthday and I did not get sick. I feel even though the server was knowledgeable, the potential for cross-contamination is high. Plus you have to suffer through the rest of your table eating cheddar biscuits.
Red Lobster has always been a gamble, even prior to my diagnosis of Celiac. The food ismass produced and high priced. However, for family reasons I visited, and I am now grossly regretting it. I am badly cross-contaminated. Not worth it at all.
Not a ton of gluten free selections, but the staff knew what I could eat and I was not glutened. I had lobster, shrimp, and vegetables.
The manager, Alejandro, and our server, Sean, were both very attentive and caring. The manager personally oversaw our food and made sure it was properly prepared. They really understood cross contamination also. I did NOT get sick and I’m very sensitive. So excited to have had Red Lobster after so many years!
Ashley G was the best server we've ever had. She went above and beyond to make our visit a great experience. She was very attentive, quickly noted my allergies, and kept checking to make sure everything was safe. Would highly recommend this location to anyone! 😍 This Red Lobster has great staff and is training their employees right, especially when it comes to food allergies. Bravo! Shrimp scampi, caesar salad without croutons, garlic mashed potatoes, and ice cream sundaes are all safe. I have eaten these here many times with no reaction. Very attentive staff that is well trained with regards to allergies. Allergen Wizard on their website helps to narrow down what you can eat!
They give you an allergen book and it will show you what has a risk of cc. I chose the two things that didn’t: shrimp cocktail and shrimp scampi with a baked potato. Everything was good and I did not get sick.
They have a gluten free menu, and notes of where to find it on the bottom of each menu page. But before I noticed that, I asked the server about GF menu, and she said they didn’t have one. I ordered off the gluten free menu and didn’t have a reaction. I will be hesitant to go back because the server had no clue, and I wasn’t confident that my food wouldn’t be contaminated. Not impressed with this location.
A lot of gluten free options. Waitress was very helpful
We had an exceptional experience here. If you can work past the difficult to maneuver multi allergy menu...they will be able to create a safe gluten free (and dairy free in our case) meal for you. Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable that our daughter had safe food. She really enjoyed her grilled scallops, baked potato, and steamed broccoli and the best part...no reaction!
