Gluten free mac and cheese! Also gluten free buns for burgers/sandwiches. The fries are NOT safe, but they offered any other side as a substitute. Normally that would be fruit or side salad, but they were out of fruit and my 10 yr old didn't want a salad so they made him mashed potatoes instead. Food was really good and we actually ate here two days in a row because there were so few gluten free options in the area. Portion sizes are generous - we took home food as well as no one finished.

We had a good experience here. Kid with celiac had gf kids Mac & cheese and a gf taco. Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating.

When this opened several years ago, it really has promise. A dedicated fryer, an energetic chef wanting to bring improved cuisine to Spearfish, clear menu & trained staff to answer questions or return quickly w answers they didn't know. Sadly, over several years it's been watered down to typical Midwestern fare, gf options have been slashed, dedicated fryer is gone & staff seems clueless. I tried again recently - the menu was shockingly dull - burger, pasta, salad. The waitress couldn't answer my questions. The pasta dish was supposed to be an alfredo, but was so runny I asked for a spoon. Seriously overpriced for the poor quality. Really sad this is the direction this place turned. Used to be able to get a wonderful eggs benedict brunch - gone. Won't be back.

Do NOT eat here. I asked about GF items several times even though the items are marked. When ordering a sandwich with GF bread our server made note and when delivering our food she said it was GF. I waited for her to come back for awhile. When she didn’t my family insisted I eat because the server said it was GF. The bread was focaccia and it seemed strange that’s what they’d serve as their GF bread. I took a couple bites and finally she arrived. I asked where they get their GF bread and she quickly said that it’s not GF then whisked it off. Everyone finished their meals. Mine was still not ready so we got it to go. When receiving the check we didn’t even get a discount. Nothing. Just an oops, I’m sorry. I told her I have Celia and she said “well, I did warn you about the fryers.” Our meal was ruined. The manager didn’t even stop by to check. Go elsewhere.

My family tried to eat here. The hostess and waitress seemed I knowledgeable. Don’t recommend eating here if Gluten Free.
Most recent menu no longer has anything marked as GF beyond the appetizers. Server had no idea which items were gluten free. When I asked to speak to the manager to determine which foods I could eat, the server came back and said the manager was too busy to help me. I will not return.

Chef has very little knowledge about gluten free. No dedicated fryer as reported. Food so so. Would not eat here if you have celiac.

Had the burger with gluten free bun and sweet potato fries. Also had the crab and lobster dip appetizer with kettle chips as well as a lemon drop drink with Tito’s vodka substitute and all was gluten free no reactions!
Update: 12/2019 - fries are no longer fried separately :(

The staff was knowledgeable and delightful to talk to! The food was excellent!! I ordered the Tri-tips Sandwich w/au jus dipping sauce on a gf bun (poppyseed 🥰) which was just like a French Dip Sandwich only better! They had sweet potato fries cooked in a dedicated fryer and for dessert, flourless chocolate cake (w/raspberry sauce and cream) that was so light and fluffy that it practically dissolved in your mouth!! Super yummy!! We will definitely be back for more 😉

Waitress was extremely uneducated. Didn’t know if there was gf bread or a dedicated frier which I saw mentioned on here. Didn’t even know which menu to get us to order from. Lunch wasn’t available at lunch time? Did not come back to keep my updated. I would not go back.

My husband and I ate here! They have great menu items and tons of gluten free items! We well be going back! I was very happy, due to having Celiac Disease!
I was very disappointed with this place. While our waiter was nice enough, he certainly needed more training. The food was so-so. We had the burgers with fries. The food wasn't hot when it came out, just luke warm. For 2 kids and one adult, the meal came to $46. One good thing: Celiac son did not get sick from eating here.

Food was amazing but beware - use you’re head. Gf marked on menu. Buffalo cauliflower- fried in dedicated fryer and so good. Meatballs can be made gf - ordered that way, but I questioned it when it was brought out on bread - it was gluten bread, and they were coming to tell me as I questioned it. They made me the gf and they were amazing. Sweet potato fries not in dedicated fryer, regular fries are. Had a very tasty salad. So.good. Hopefully they’ll get better at gf.
Local celiac family and have eaten here many times, MANY gf items on the menu, although at this time they are not marked. New restaurant with excellent & educated chef. Buns for the burgers, dedicates fryers. Delicious food. Highly recommend!! UPDATE: Have been back again with another delicious dining experience & they have updated their menus - which now indicate which items are GF or can be made GF. Love this place & the improvement they are making to the dining experience in Spearfish... especially for those of us with celiac. Thanks REDWater! :-)
