Review of Rise Bakery

We went to Rise during our visit to DC and we’re excited to bring our kids to a dedicated GF bakery. The food was pretty good. We tried the grilled cheese, turkey pesto, and BLT sandwiches. The cinnamon rolls were a bit dense, but still had good flavor. Unfortunately, I’m giving them 2 stars because the service wasn’t great and the prices are high even for a GF restaurant. The person who took our order seemed very unhappy to be there. Also, we took our order to go and by the time we realized they forgot one of our sandwiches (which cost $10.95 btw), instead of offering to make it so we could drive by to pick it up they defaulted to refunding the money. Showed no interest in helping us out even though we offered to drive by again. Not sure we’d visit again.
