Been getting the burgers with the GF bun here for months and never had a problem.

Everything here besides the buns are GF! They have ingredients on their website and show that all fries are fried in dedicated fryers. Also have really good GF chicken nuggets

Amazing GF fried chicken!! It's not labeled GF but the hostess said they only make GF.
I was told by an employee at the front that the chicken is gluten free and it is not listed gluten free. I would be careful because they offer a gluten free bun but unsure of the safety for those with allergies or celiac.

They said they would put gluten allergy on the ticket, so I assume they did. All the food we got in our order was GF. Got SO sick afterwards. The sweet potato fries with their ranch was delicious. The burgers were disappointing, not very flavorful despite all the toppings.

I'm celiac and vegetarian. The food at Roam was amazing. The employees were very knowledgeable about gf and cross-contamination. The food was very good.

Traveling with food allergies or restrictions. It is SO annoying not only for myself but the people I am with. Trying to find a place that both parties will enjoy while also not having a bad reaction is a gamble. I went to @roam_burgers this weekend in San Francisco, CA. PHENOMENAL! Every bite felt like I was eating LOVE in food format. As if I would only have one bite, it was made to perfection each time! the portions were great. I had a veggie burger with a gluten free bun and sweet potato fries (GF bun had egg so it wasn’t vegan)
The man that took my order even brought out the allergen book to make sure I would have ANY issues. It was comforting!
Hands down best veggie burger I’ve had. You can tell their stuff is an art when they cook!!
My friend that had a meat burger enjoyed hers just as much!

Staff seemed fairly knowledgeable about cross contamination and told me that I could eat anything on the menu (except the regular gluten filled buns). Unfortunately after eating here earlier this evening I was so sick and had to run back to our hotel and skip out on the rest of our night in the city. Most likely got glutened there somehow as it was the only food I ate that day aside from in my own GF kitchen earlier in the day. I really wanted to love this place, but we're definitely not going back!!! :(

Had the beef burger with cheddar in a lettuce wrap and russet fries. Was told there is very little gluten used in the restaurant: the fryer is GF and the burgers are grilled separately from the buns. Server marked my order as gluten allergy as well. All my food tested as GF with my Nima sensor!
Yes
Staff seemed unsure about gf risk, maybe lack of knowledge, but when asked if kitchen staff could use new gloves they were more than agreeable. We enjoyed the food and there was no contamination issue.
Yes
AMAZING! Delicious food, bun stays intact, knowledgeable staff and delicious french fries from a dedicated fryer. I find my way here every time in am in San Fran!
Yes
GF Buns are available, and salads can be made GF as well. Delicious burgers, and even some of the fun ones (heritage) can be made GF!
Yes
Excellent GF bun. Heritage burger is delicious and sweet potato fries are delectable
Yes
Gluten free bun was amazing, so soft and stayed together. The veggie burger is gluten free, it has GF soy sauce in it, but is crumbly and didn't stay together . I asked the cashier when ordered about the fries and she she told me the zucchini onion haystack has a batter on it and all the fries are fried in the same fryer.
Yes
Great bun. All fries, zucchini strings and onion strings in dedicated dryer and gluten free. Burger was awesome and all the fries items were delish.
The veggie burger has soy sauce in it. After explaining my gluten allergy, I was assured the veggie burger was gluten free. However, right after ordering, a manager came out and told me that there's soy sauce in it, but they are working on a new recipe. Good to know! The fries are delicious!
Excellent burger, gluten free bun was great!
AMAZING. I had the Turkey "heritage" on GF and it was bomb. I'll def be going back!
Good food! The staff were knowledgable. Had the classic burger and sweet potato fries. They toast the buns in the same place as gluten containing ones so I got mine untoasted. I'm very sensitive and had no reaction after.

Amazing! Incredible staff, super friendly. Gluten free veggie burger was fantastic. As were the fries and milkshake. If I make it back to San Francisco, this is on my must stop list!!!
I have celiac and am super sensitive to cross-contamination but this place was great! I had a turkey burger wrapped in butter lettuce and it was delicious!
Awesome burgers. Did a great job getting the order right with four different styles and one being gluten free. Great flavor. Would go back again. Yum!
Good as always! This is one of my favorite places in San Francisco. Yummy burgers, sweet potato or regular fries cooked in rice bran oil. The salads are great - and then they have milkshakes that are hard to resist... I feel very safe eating here. The gluten free buns are so good I called them from my home town to ask about the brand (Canyon Bakehouse).
Delish! Had a beef burger on a GF bun with Avo and their yummo bacon! I must admit... As a Paleo diner, I think it's a damn shame that we paid $40 for two outta this world burgers, two GF beers, and sweet potato fries, but they can't spend the money on making their own Paleo mayo?!? smh They should be embarrassed. They spend their money on everything else, as do we... Their base is Best Foods mayo?!? Tsk tsk it's my only thumbs down...
Wow! Best burger and fries that I've had for years. They were knowledgable about gf and even let me in on the secret of where they purchase those fabulous gf buns : )
They now offer gluten free buns for $1. The veggie patty is gluten free too. I have not yet gotten sick from eating here and I have been 5+ times.

This place was very good. I didn't have any issues with cross-contamination (maybe they're getting better about it?). They also had good local, grass-fed meat options and a gluten free veggie burger. The truffle parmesan fries were really yummy.
I hate to give a mediocre rating since I haven't eaten here. I called to find out about cross contamination, and I was told they only have one grill where they make the burgers and grill the buns. :( however, they do have a dedicated fryer, and were able to answer my questions on the phone, so I appreciate that. Hopefully they will expand and put in a second grill for to accommodate us celiacs.

Usually very susceptible to cross-contamination issues, but had no problem here. A little uncomfortable as order-takers had no idea what they were talking about, but took a chance and was very happy with food quality. Sweet potato fries were awesome!
I got so sick from eating here. I suspect they are not careful about cross contamination.
Roam has a few locations in SF and this is their newest. Offer lettuce wraps and everything but the buns are GF. Offer Omission beer from Portland and Dogfish's GF beer.
Great lunch spot! They asked if it was an allergen or preference and there is a separate fryer for fries and chicken! Very delicious especially the sweet potato fries !!

Went for the first time last night. It’s a really nice counter service place with a diverse, mostly GF possible menu. We ordered two different kind of burgers with their homemade veggie patty and shared them and a side of fries. The fries were great, but a little light on the seasoning (which is a shame since we paid extra for it.) I wasn’t a huge fan of the veggie patties, which were kind of mushy and sweet and conflicted with the toppings on the burgers. Probably would be better with an impossible patty (or real meat.) Felt totally safe here, but since we don’t eat red meat, we probably won’t be back.

Had the Heritage burger with bacon, aioli, etc. Very rich umami taste with excellent bun! The fries were just ok. Not sure about safety but they asked if GF was choice or allergy
