Today I had the absolute best pizza I have ever had. As a gal with celiac I’m always extremely nervous to try new places especially when they aren’t reviewed extensively on my favorite gluten free app (@findmeglutenfree) but I am SO happy that @meghan_matt suggested @robertspizzaco. When we first got there I saw that they offered gluten free crust but I was worried about cross contamination. I asked the server about their cross contamination policy and he told me everything is cooked in the same space. I asked (more like begged - bc I wanted this pizza so bad) for the possibility of them cooking my pizza on a clean/separate pan. & they agreed! This meal was incredible. I ordered the Cali Italia Pizza - asiago, mozzarella, and Gorgonzola cheese finished with fig preserve, prosciutto di parma, balsamic reduction, and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano. I could have done without the Gorgonzola but WOW. Next time I am in Chicago I will no doubt go back to Robert’s. Best part? Didn’t get sick. Beyond impressed 👏🏻🍕🌆
