To be fair, it was very busy the night we went and I didn’t explain my gluten sensitivity to the server. That being said, I ordered a burger on a gluten free bun and a salad. My salad came out with croutons on it. My burger came out on a regular bun, not a gluten-free bun and thankfully my husband noticed it before I took a bite. I told the server who took it back, and the same burger came back on a gluten-free bun (I know because I had put some sauce on it). Then, halfway through eating it, I bit into a square piece of parchment paper. Yuck. The server was very embarrassed and did not charge me for my meal after all of that, which was the right thing to do. Again, I didn’t explain my sensitivity to the server and maybe that was my fault, but it was obvious the servers and kitchen staff are not well-versed in gluten-free food prep.
