I hate that I’m saying this but I had an awful experience here. It was mostly due to the very uncaring and rude waiter we had. Like everyone else I asked for the gluten free options and asked if they could make sure to use a clean knife and cutting board. The waiter told me he couldn’t guarantee anything and told me not to order most of the rolls that looked safe to me. But when I asked him to check with the kitchen about gluten free rolls he told me “probably not gluten free and they won’t modify”. I ended up getting basic rolls I didn’t even eat because there were other food debris on my rolls.

He was actually very rude to my whole table (non gf), super slow, and didn’t accommodate any of my friends other requests (extra sauce, refill). I think we just got a bad waiter overall.

I ended up complaining to the manager who was so kind and offered to remake my rolls or give me a refund but at that point I just wanted to leave. It looks like other people had a good experience here and I’m happy to see that. I’m personally very hesitant to try this place again.

When we first arrived at the restaurant, I asked for a gluten free menu. The server went to check to find one, but said there was not one available. Though he did say most rolls and items on the menu would accommodate someone with celiac so long as I avoided fried rolls or rolls with sauce made with gluten-containing ingredients, but neglected to explain what sauces did or did not contain gluten. He also did not mention if I could eat anything else on the menu (appetizers, soups, etc). The menu was quite large (think 10 pages filled with overwhelming details) and the details on each item made it difficult to decipher what was safe or could be altered. It was an unpleasant experience trying to make sense of their massive menu. If they are going to claim to have gluten free options, then they need to communicate those options more clearly. At the very least, they need to have a separate gluten free menu with a selection of options available given the large quantity of dishes available.

That being said, I do believe the kitchen takes its job very seriously in regards to avoiding cross contamination.

Staff was helpful with determining which sushi rolls could be made gluten free or were already gluten free. They prepared my rolls separately and everything was delicious!
