Enough safe menu items for me, Gluten and Soy Sensitive. Have to mention GF when ordering.
The food here is awesome. The people don't seem to know what gluten is and are not helpful. I always order tacos on a corn tortilla (either chicken or shrimp) and its delicious. Obviously don't order the original fish tacos as they are beer battered but there are some grilled fish options. The sauces seem to be gf. I have eaten here twice and not gotten sick. (knock on wood)
They make such yummy tacos for me every time and I just order them on corn tortillas! Their refried beans are GF too! Also, great service :)
My go to fast food in San Diego! Almost all the tacos are made with corn tortillas. I go for the street tacos and ask for no cheese on the beans, and then it's totally dairy free too. I know the chips are made in a shared fryer, so avoid if you are sensitive.
— No gluten-free information on the menu
Manager was knowledgeable and instructed his staff to change gloves and to be careful.
— Separate gluten-free menu
I absolutely love rubios. I normally get the loaded nachos.
The food is quite good, but I ate here so many times thinking it was Celiac safe because of their allergen menu... When I got sick the third time I should've freaking realized, but it took a cashier finally saying "you know this isn't Celiac safe, flour tortillas have been ALL over the grill" for me to realize it was definitely gluten. I know, dumb on my part, it was just the only place around for me so I ignored the truth.
