They did not have anything labeled gluten free but the server had available to her a list to read off to me with options/modifications. I went with the French toast topped with strawberries & side of chicken sausage. It was delicious! Not the most elaborate looking meal but tasty!
I wouldn’t eat here again, server was nice and helped a bit with the gluten free part. She told us items on the menu were marked wrong because she’s gluten intolerant and has gotten sick. She said what I ordered was safe for celiac and made sure to notate the allergy for the kitchen. I got the breakfast sandwich and it really wasn’t very good, plus the bread was toasted. I got a side of fruit to be safe and it was the sadest bowl ever. I definitely got sick from this meal. After reading reviews, I know now that the bread should not have been toasted to be safe. If you do go here, stick to things that are naturally gluten free don’t get any bread.
My server, Ronnie, was fantastic. Helped identify on the menu what was safe and how it could be prepared. Fryer is not safe and of course neither is the toaster. She did offer Udi's bread as a GF option, but couldn't toast it safely. I really appreciate the attention to detail, substitutions offered and over all accommodation. I chose thw omelet with side salad, side of bacon amd swapped fruit for the potatoes. Felt very good about it. There was no wait at this location during the early morning, opting to sit outside.
My waiter was great. Able to help me identify what was gluten free on the menu. There is nothing marked as gluten free. Omelettes are usually a safe bet at places like this. Just let them know of a gluten allergy and they can mark it in their system which will take out things with gluten in it.
I experienced cross contamination with this restaurant even after being reassured they take it very seriously. They used regular bread on my sandwich even though I specifically said gluten free because having celiac. I don’t think the waitress understood. Definitely don’t recommend.
I was so excited to eat here but left disappointed. Based on the reviews, I knew I had to join the wait list & it was a 1 1/2 hour wait. They do not have a gf menu in person but they do online. I was really excited to try the French toast because I feel like I find pancakes more than French toast but it wasn’t worth it. It just looked like normal, toasted gf bread. We did try the piggy bites to start with and they were good but it was just slices of bacon cut in half and sprinkled with brown sugar. At least we ate safely and didn’t get sick.
Initially my server was really knowledgeable and I felt comfortable. The menu is marked. They even noted cross contact and what would be safer. The kitchen brought out my meal (migas) and after eating a couple bites I realized the tortilla strips were probably fired there…sure enough the migas wasn’t supposed to come with the tortilla strips. I’m pretty sick from it. The place was running like a clown show, which was fun and entertaining but maybe just go for a cocktail and skip the food.
Disappointed that their ‘gluten-free’ menu doesn’t actually cater to people with a gluten allergy. Tried to order the French toast but they couldn’t cook it separate. Don’t have a separate fryer. Also, was asked the most annoying question for someone with an allergy ‘how allergic are you?’ Eventually ended up with an omelet and they said they were able to toast the bread separate. It’s always exciting to see a gluten free menu but so disappointing when places can’t cater for allergies.
Brunch on a Wednesday morning was slow but good. No separate GF menu and not noted on menu, but server was able to talk through menu. Ordered omelet with no biscuit. It was delivered to table with toast on the plate that the server said was GF and toasted in separate place. Omelet was delicious. I didn’t try the toast so cannot comment on flavor.
Did not get a gf menu at the restaurant, but they might have had them (it was busy so I just looked at the one on the website). Got the 3 little pigs omelet with no cheese, gf toast, and grits. Tasty and no issues!
Delicious and safe!
I sat at the bar and asked whether they could do GF. Server knew that they couldn't guarantee there wouldn't be cross-contamination on any bread items, but eggs/meat/fruit would be safe. I got a salmon omelette with crème fraiche and capers, side of potatoes and fruit. Amazing!
Spiced vanilla latte also worth trying (lots of nutmeg).
A day later and I'm feeling great. Long lines likely, so call ahead or plan to wait outside a while for groups of more than 2 people.
NO GLUTEN FREE MENU. They use a shared toaster for udi’s bread & a shared fryer for potatoes. Server was knowledgeable of what dishes could be made gluten free. Ordered an omelette with no biscuit and still received the biscuit. Food was mediocre. Not worth the wait or risk of contamination.
Ate here for brunch it's busy so make sure you add your name online so you don't have to stand for an hour or so. The food was worth the wait, they have an extensive menu of gf options. I had the breakfast plate with eggs, grits, chicken sausage and toast.
While their menu if full of gluten free items, it is NOT safe for someone with celiac.
After we ordered, the manager thankfully brought our food out and asked my wife if she had celiac or it was a preference and that is when she explained that they make their biscuits in house so flour cross contamination is very real. They grill all their foods on the same grill and they bake their gluten free bread in the SAME toaster/oven as their biscuits.
Once we found that out, my wife opted to not eat and just munch on the bowl of fruit I had ordered as a side. They took her meal off our bill and apologized for not making that clear when we sat down.
It's a shame because the food I ordered was very good.
Bottom line, if cross contamination is an issue for you, do NOT eat here.
They are open for business! They are very knowledgeable and considerate about celiac. Lot of options, just need to let them know. Can substitute fruit for the biscuits. The young lady did mark on my ticket Gluten allergy, but the kitchen put a biscuit on my plate. Nothing touched though
Got the eggs cochon with a side of breakfast sausage for takeout. Asked them to substitute the biscuit for GF toast and they gave me GF toast in a separate container but still put the not GF biscuit in with the eggs. They were in separate compartments and didn’t look like they had touched and all other components were packed separately from the biscuit so I ate it anyway because I’m not that sensitive to cross contamination these days, but would definitely recommend caution here!
Our food was delicious. The Migas was very yummy. I also had gf toast. The server wasn't sure what was gluten free (and the menu didn't say), but she directed us to the online menu where it is labeled. She also verified with the chef.
