Stopped in after a day in the mountains. We had brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage with beans. Originally from Texas we have expectations for our BBQ and Rudy’s did not disappoint. Menu specific notes GF items. We didn’t want to use the sauce that is on the table for everyone because of contamination worries. A woman cleaning tables overheard us discussing this and she brought out single serve sauce packets. Great service, family friendly atmosphere, good BBQ.
Did not get glutened but that is about the only selling point for me. Meat was fatty and tough. Predominate flavor was smoky without anything else. Coleslaw was very bland. Creamed corn and beans were not great either. Was encouraged by the other ratings on here and it is safe to eat at but I was not a fan.

Lots of good options. Had the baked potato with brisket and coleslaw.
2nd time in Rudy’s… first was in Austin,TX. Had the brisket and was fine afterwards, I did not get any sauce just because 🤷🏻♂ Love it here! Plus the gas station vibe is hilarious. Tell the cashier behind the counter you’re GF and she has a private menu with all allergens marked.
Well worth standing in line. Celiac - did not get glutened. Amazing brisket. Told them celiac and needed to be gluten free. We had a newer employee but another came over and helped and brought out an extra GF/allergy menu. They also changed gloves. Ordered brisket and jalapenos sausage along with cole slaw. Both sauces we used, original and sissy, were gluten free. No GF bread option (and they do not have corn bread on their menu at all). Most meats GF except pulled pork.
Such a great BBQ place! We told them we had a gluten/dairy allergy and they got a new cutting board and fresh meat from the back to cut for our order. It made me feel super confident. Most of their products are gluten free just don't get the bread or the pulled pork. I know there are a few other items but they are super knowledgeable about everything.

9. Are the “Sause” and Rub Gluten free?
The Rudy's formulas contain no products that would be suspected of containing gluten. However, they do contain distilled vinegar, caramel color and modified food starch. Distilled vinegar is produced from grain and could contain very small amounts of gluten. The manufacturer cannot guarantee that there is absolutely no gluten present even though none is identified by tests. The same situation exists in the caramel color and food starch. The starch is a product of corn but there is a very small chance of trace gluten being present, perhaps from the same milling equipment being used for wheat products.
Gluten free bbq sauce and staff brought out a different cutting board to cut the meat.
My wife has a severe gluten allergy. We seen good reviews and they did not disappoint. I don’t think the person up front knew what gluten was (she asked if we needed wheat bread after we ordered) but all the meats I believe are GF. I was worried about cross contamination but my wife did fine. The GF “menu” or chart is online not in stores. Brisket was good but the ribs are better in our opinion! Try it out if you in the area!
Food was ok, but not great. Definitely better than a lot of barbeque places I've been. The potato salad and 3-bean salad were gluten free and decent, but I should have tried a different meat than the brisket. I felt ok after eating here so I think it was decently safe. They had an allergen chart for all of the items, which was nice.
