They have a gluten free menu. I asked lots of questions to make sure I would be safe and even mentioned I had celiac disease. I just ordered the gluten free salad. It came out and I asked again that it was gluten free with no croutons. They assured me it was safe. Three bites in and my fork hit something crunchy. Sure enough it was a crouton. As I dug around, I found a number of croutons. Lunch fail. They were mortified, but the damage was done. They offered me several free things and to remake my salad. I declined any more food, as I had no more trust. Avoid this place.
My son and I are very sensitive Celiacs. Gluten free menu, no bread, no dedicated fryer. Steaks are GF and seasoned with salt, pepper and butter. I need dairy free too, which really limited the options and that left salad with balsamic dressing, crab stack and broccoli. Fresh berries for dessert. Every thing was fresh and delicious. We did not get sick. It was hard for my son to wait for his steak as he was hungry and doesn’t like seafood and he chose not to eat a salad. The server said they will change the oil on slow nights for GF fries. Because they serve bread, I requested new silverware to remain wrapped in cloth napkin to be safe and reminded server to mix my salad in a fresh bowl as recommended on their web site. We usually get sick when we eat out and we’re both relieved to be well. We will risk it again due to the great steak and servers efforts to accommodate our needs.
This is the one within the Marriott Westchester. It’s a great little spot and they have a dedicated Gluten free menu with plenty of options. Had a Cesar that was great, 11oz filet with Baked Potato. Very very good. Had not eaten at a Ruth’s Chris is years but will be back next time i stay here.
Deliciously expensive. Steak is wonderful, they can make any steak GF, the sides are limited but delicious. I have a “wheat allergy” but I also have dermatitis herpeformis so I am very strict about where I go.
I had no issues or reactions so it was wonderful experience. It was also my wedding dinner celebration. They were very accommodating
I had an absolutely amazing experience at Ruth's Chris! The food was incredibly delicious and the ambiance was romantic and pleasant. I had some of what I believe to be the best steak of my life, and I didn't fall ill. We called in beforehand to reserve our table for a date occasion. When we arrived, my partner and I were sat at a booth with a table decorated with table scatters. When inquiring about the menu, the server urged us that the meat is not prepared on a shared surface with anything that contains gluten, and he checked back with the kitchen about the safety of the garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. I ordered a rare Cowboy Ribeye while my partner ordered a medium rare T-Bone with a side of grilled asparagus. We both ordered the garlic mashed potatoes. The steaks were brought out sizzling on a hot plate and were made absolutely perfectly. My Cowboy Ribeye came out with a bit of butter and was deliciously juicy. The asparagus and mashed potato were also so tasty, and paired perfectly with our meals. The portions were great and lasted me for a few days after. My one negative about my experience is that our server brought out a small cheesecake at the end, and before he set it on the table he remembered about my allergy. I couldn't eat it so we decided to pack it to go for my significant other. Overall, this was one of the finest dining experiences I've ever had. I recommend this place for anyone looking to celebrate any special occasions or to take out their loved ones. I would definitely love to be back here. Definitely worthy of my No.200 review!
