The most overly political restaurant I’ve ever been to. There is a red list of requirements to dine there on the menu. A snarky No wifi sign. And the staff has political messages on the back of their shirts. I want to escape from the problems of the world at a nice dinner, not be constantly bombarded with them and negativity.
The entire restaurant is gluten free. Every visit the food has been delicious. Highly recommend!!
Wonderful experience for lunch. The entire restaurant is gluten free, opening the entire menu to those following a gluten free diet. The paninis are made on cheesybread (gluten free, of course) and were fantastic. Probably the best gluten free sandwich bread we’ve tried to date. Staff is great, location is great, and food is great—worth a visit.
This the place to go if you’re celiac and want a delicious meal with no fear of cross contamination. They’re dedicated gluten free and strictly enforce that no outside food containing gluten can be brought into the restaurant (we brought gf cupcakes for my birthday) The ambience is great too. I love this place!
The wait staff was kind and attentive but truly I’m so underwhelmed and a bit disappointed in the dish I got. They brought up a basket of biscuits and butter, it was good but the butter was too hard to spread so it was unusable. Next I got the mahi mahi & shrimp I think #16 and while I love seafood and the seafood itself seemed of good quality (thank goodness & as it should be) but there was literally no flavor to my meal what so ever. I had to get it wrapped I couldn’t even eat it. I brought it home for someone else to eat, it really wasn’t worth almost $40 and I wasn’t even the one who paid the bill and I’m still quite unhappy. My date seemed to enjoy his steak and I wish I got it but it was just a basic steak meal I can make myself at home which was why I didn’t go for it. I don’t know I’m really not impressed and I had high hopes for this place. I don’t see myself returning because it’s already expensive and to be expensive & flavorless is enough for me to not come back.
One of my new favorite restaurants. The food is really something special, I recommend the bolihno de vegetais and prato vegano!
Amazing gf restaurant. What a treat to have so much to choose from. I’m also dairy free and there were a lot of options - including dessert. Everything we had from appetizers to dessert was delicious. Service was great and attentive. Highly recommend it!
AMAZING FOOD. All gluten free menu. It felt so good to have free range to anything on the menu. The cheese bread was delicious. The vegan fried things were delicious and the chicken cream dish I got was so tender and good! Even the leftovers tasted just as good the next day!
It was awesome to be able to order anything on the menu. Cheese bread was okay, but I found all of our dishes incredibly bland, uninteresting and flat tasting/one note. I felt like I could easily cook a more complex and flavorful dish at home - and I’m not a professional. Not sure why my review is showing as 5 stars when I marked 1 star for taste?
Oh my goodness. Where should I start? The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. Everything is gluten, corn & soy free. Each item we ordered was better than the next!
A wonderful spot with unique and safe meals for those with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity or anyone who just loves good food. I was able to eat here with friends without getting sick, which is great. My food was delicious, and the portion was huge. They had a variety of vegan options for me, but gave me the wrong meal to take home which was disappointing. No bar or liquor but I'm sure you can bring your own.
Fantastic food!! The yuca cheese rolls are to die for!! We got many apps and entrees to share and they were all INCREDIBLE. Portion sizes are big as well. I just finished some left overs for lunch-even delicious as leftovers!
Nice for my celiac daughter to be able to try unique dishes, not just order a plain steak and a salad and pray they are truly prepared in separate areas.
We only wish it was closer to home! We are from Maryland. We found it because we were looking for somewhere my daughter could eat a full meal before embarking on international travel at Newark airport.
Samba is my favorite GF restaurant in northern NJ. I have gone multiple times and enjoyed everything I’ve tried. The full menu is 100% GF, so it is really easy and safe. The unique dishes are high quality and decent portions. You usually need a reservation because they are always busy. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.
I had a disappointing experience – I have an intolerance to garlic and onion, which I know can be challenging to accommodate, so I called ahead to ask about options and they suggested several dishes that could be possibilities for me. When I arrived to order, however, the staff told me that none of the dishes could be prepared without garlic or onion (including the ones I’d been told could be made allium-free).
I was quite disappointed, since I’d been traveling for work for a conference and was looking forward to a meal not from the grocery store, and because I drove half an hour to get there.
Food is amazing and full menu is gluten free. Service and atmosphere is outstanding.
Samba is the best. It’s gf, soy and corn free. It was the first place I’ve been able to eat anything on the menu since I was diagnosed with Celiac. We had 2 appetizers, entrees, and 2 desserts. Everything was so delicious. My husband and daughter (gluten eaters) and myself loved everything we had. The wait staff are all extremely friendly and very helpful. We loved it and will be back when we are in the area again.
