A wonderful spot with unique and safe meals for those with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity or anyone who just loves good food. I was able to eat here with friends without getting sick, which is great. My food was delicious, and the portion was huge. They had a variety of vegan options for me, but gave me the wrong meal to take home which was disappointing. No bar or liquor but I'm sure you can bring your own.

Fantastic food!! The yuca cheese rolls are to die for!! We got many apps and entrees to share and they were all INCREDIBLE. Portion sizes are big as well. I just finished some left overs for lunch-even delicious as leftovers!

Nice for my celiac daughter to be able to try unique dishes, not just order a plain steak and a salad and pray they are truly prepared in separate areas.

We only wish it was closer to home! We are from Maryland. We found it because we were looking for somewhere my daughter could eat a full meal before embarking on international travel at Newark airport.

Samba is my favorite GF restaurant in northern NJ. I have gone multiple times and enjoyed everything I’ve tried. The full menu is 100% GF, so it is really easy and safe. The unique dishes are high quality and decent portions. You usually need a reservation because they are always busy. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.

I looked forward to eating here for so long. The food was bland and not great. We ordered a few different things and I didn’t love anything. It was also pricey for a subpar lunch. Sad bc it’s a really cute place.

I had a disappointing experience – I have an intolerance to garlic and onion, which I know can be challenging to accommodate, so I called ahead to ask about options and they suggested several dishes that could be possibilities for me. When I arrived to order, however, the staff told me that none of the dishes could be prepared without garlic or onion (including the ones I’d been told could be made allium-free).

I was quite disappointed, since I’d been traveling for work for a conference and was looking forward to a meal not from the grocery store, and because I drove half an hour to get there.

Samba is the best. It’s gf, soy and corn free. It was the first place I’ve been able to eat anything on the menu since I was diagnosed with Celiac. We had 2 appetizers, entrees, and 2 desserts. Everything was so delicious. My husband and daughter (gluten eaters) and myself loved everything we had. The wait staff are all extremely friendly and very helpful. We loved it and will be back when we are in the area again.

I felt like I was in heaven. I didn’t have to explain anything about cross contamination. The food was so good. We drove 1.25 hours to get there just to have a safe Saturday night experience for me. My friends loved the food too and I think my husband got a kick about seeing me try everything at the table including the delicious cheese bread that they put in the center. Normally I’m just watching everyone else buttering their warm bread at the table and not partaking. Reservations should be made as it is a very popular spot.

We brought friends here who were a little nervous about going out to eat all gluten free and after having the French toast they loved the place! Gluten free French toast is really hard to get correct and they nailed it. I personally love the chicken panini but everything is safe and great. I especially love the fact that I can eat off of my kids plates, which I haven’t been able to do in years.

Very original menu. Entire menu is certified GF which is rare. Very attentive staff although language barrier could be an issue.

Those who are lactose should beware as most items contain dairy which is interesting for a Brazilian based menu. Got the pork chop dish and the yucca gnocchi primavera. Delicious. Whole dessert menu is GF as well but same issues with dairy in many items.

Amazing, everything is gluten free so you don’t have to think about it at all. The owner has celiac and has made such a nice experience for celiac folks and their friends/families. A good amount are dairy free as well for those who are trying to avoid that too. Pricey but worth it for the experience and amazing food

This Brazilian restaurant is wonderful. Owner is has severe allergies to gluten, corn, soy, etc. and doesn’t even allow anyone to bring gluten into the restaurant because of his own sensitivities. He was lovely, the staff was lovely, and the food was so delicious. It cannot be underestimated what it means to a Celiac to be able to sit and break bread with his/her family, share food, etc with no fears of cross-contamination. Restaurant itself is also very romantic/atmospheric, with rustic farm touches. Farm to table. Excellent service. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

This entire restaurant is certified gluten free. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. All the food is farm to table and so tasty! I had the cheese bread, stuffed pastries (similar to empanadas), a chicken dish and a chocolate truffle dessert. I was blown away!!

Samba is a perfect date night restaurant, and the fact that the kitchen is completely gluten free makes it even better. No worry or stress with the menu- you can order anything, and the staff is equally accommodating with other food issues too. The vegan raspberry chocolate torte is amazing, so are the vegan apps. My husband has the flank steak, which was perfectly cooked and a little better than my mahi-mahi and shrimp dish, which was a little bland. This will be my new special occasion restaurant. Pricey but worth it for the delish food and worry free night out.

Oh my god - can I live at Samba?? I really mean it! this place is amazing! I am drooling just thinking about it. Anything you get is really good! Paninis are amazing (and after years of being deprived I am just drooling), chicken and steak dishes are wonderful, gnocchi is so worth it, cheese bread and just literally everything!! Samba was one of the best gluten free restaurants that I’ve been to. The only non-gluten free item was the bread, which they of course had the best gluten free bread with cheese. The fried yuca was amazing which usually is made in the same fryer as non-gluten free food. If you’re looking for a Brazilian restaurant with incredible homemade food and amazing drinks go to Samba.
