This is one of my go to places for gluten free gourmet safety. Adding smoked duck on the waffles will leave you in heaven. The toasts sourdough and lovely with toppings. Matched with their teas. It’s my treat here and there.

Best gluten free waffles I have had! The bread is also really good. They don't have a specific gluten free menu but plenty of options! The service is really good as well.

All the waffles are gluten free. I had the smoked duck, cheddar, and scallion waffle - amazing! I'm very a sensitive celiac, and had no reaction. I'm looking forward to trying the smoked duck jook next time.

The tea was lovely sitting on the garden terrace this morning. Was disappointed to learn the waffles are not Gf :( but did have a WONDERFUL China pudding w fruit, honey & candied nuts that was well worth it. Not an everyday spot... 21$ breakfast for one pre tip.

Great sandwich with gluten-free bread; however, it was toasted and that toasting probably happened on a shared surface. Next time I will have the gluten-free waffles, which my server said were definitely cooked on a dedicated surface. They don't even serve non-gluten-free waffles!

Disappointed! I went for the GF waffles and they were out of mix. I was told 20 mins and then 30 mins. I decided to go somewhere else to eat. The chai was good though.

This is my go-to spot for lunch meetings. Close to convention center, good food, awesome tea, unique atmosphere above the hustle and bustle of the city.

gluten free items are noted on their menu but there aren't a ton of options. waffles are tasty.

I was pleasantly surprised to see gluten-free and/or vegetarian options called out on the food menu. The server was careful to ask about specific food sensitivities once I mentioned the gluten issue. The only downside is Samovar tends to be pricey, but that just makes it a place to go for a special treat!

The gluten free waffle with fresh fruit is delicious and filling; unfortunately it is not dairy-free (cream in the batter). Amazing selection of teas, knowledgeable service and allergy accommodation. A happy visit indeed!

Dropped in before going to the SF Zen Center. Had delicious GF waffles with fresh fruit and white tea. Wife had GF rice bowl with tempeh, ginger, veggies, and tamari sauce. Really friendly staff and knowledgeable.
