A lot of GF options but the soups didn't impress me much the two times I ate there.

Love their GF soups. Staff is very careful about cross contamination on GF breads for sandwiches. Safe for Celiacs.

San Francisco Soup Company in the 29th Street Mall offers a couple gluten free options which I was really happy about. Upon request they will make any sandwich with Udi's gluten free bread. They also had three different soups that I sampled, the Mexican Chicken Tortilla, Tomato Bisque, and the Split Pea. All were gluten free and REALLY tasty. They also sell Udi's brand chocolate chip cookies. I try to maintain a gluten free diet and it great to have places like the San Francisco Soup Company that offer items that are gluten free. Very happy and I will definitely be back.

Now called Ladle & Leaf. Still here, and still with a nice assortment of gluten-free soups, including a gluten-free New England clam chowder which is delicious! Most things are labeled with dietary restrictions: GF, DF, Vegan for example. They now also have a big veggie and grain bowl bar, where you can get big salads or bowls with quinoa or other grains and veggies.

absolutely NOT safe!!! was cutting up bread right next to the open soups and then used those same gloves to handle the soup cups.

Based on the previous review, I was nervous about cross contamination, but we did not see any bread bowls or crumbs around the soup containers. They had a basket of bread that was available at the end of all of the soup. Soup is all labelled by allergen (GF, DF, etc). We had the chili and the chicken tortilla soup and were safe (these were the 2 soups that also happened to be farthest from the bread). We also had a prepackaged side salad with balsamic dressing. Landing in an airport and having limited choices (and being very hungry!) we were grateful this was available. We are VERY sensitive and were fine.

There is cross contamination here. I saw the person behind the counter ladling soup into bread bowls, letting the ladel come in contact with the bread, and putting the ladles back in the soup. I feel lucky that I got out of line and order anything so as to not get glutened.

I saw the older reviews saying bread was right in with the soups but when I went it was well separated. All but one of their soups are GF.
