I have eaten at Saranac many times and have had the same waiter experiences as others, they were very annoyed to talk about vegan options despite having a menu sporting multiple dishes. I decided to eat there last night with my recently retired military officer mother despite some wrong orders and cheese on options we requested in the past. There were no signs about using an ecig and the waitress was very rude telling us not to use, when I asked if it was an establishment rule or law she dismissively walked away and told us just not to do it without answering my question. We didn't use them for the rest of the meal.

My Mother feeling uncomfortable wanted to pay with card to the manager worrying about the attitude of the waitress and we she was given a gift card to compensate. When the waitress came back as we were finishing the meal she had no apology, instead she lead with stating she heard we didn't like the service and wanted to give her their bosses number. We declined and she huffed away to talk to the manager again. But not before telling out entire table we better leave the establishment. We were not finished eating and were confused since me and my fiance didn't say a word throughout all of this to her or the manager, nothing rude, nothing out of place. Just ate out food.

As we were leaving the manager came up to us and told us he has a gut feeling that we should never be allowed back. Confused by this I asked why I was banned and he said "Customers are not right, my staff is" Please never come back. We handed him back the gift card he gave us a moment prior and left, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Rude staff, Poor management. A good pretzel, but it doesn't make up for what we experienced eating multiple times with the wait staff. Don't eat here, they straight up told us,

"We Care more about our staff than Customers." Yuppie Much? Location and Attitude, they have it in spades. Without it this business would tank.
