Walked in and was greeted by Mackenzie (hope I’m spelling her name right..) who had the BEST energy. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and exactly the energy that ANY business would be lucky to have as an employee. AAA+++ 10/10 service
Everything took a complete 180 turn when I stepped to the kitchen window to ask the chefs about the safety for a Celiac to eat the pancakes/food here.. (if they use separate cooking areas, pans, utensils.. etc) , the kitchen staff was MORE than friendly and helpful.. AAA+++ 10/10 service
However… while in the middle of talking to the kitchen staff through the window about my Celiac concerns - out of nowhere I was RUDELY approached by the manager, Chloe, who quite possibly had the worst attitude I have came I have came across in a business/restaurant in a VERY long time. With complete and total lack of respect for me as a person/customer in general, told me it was unacceptable and NOT OK to talk to the kitchen staff about my allergy concerns. When I say rudely, I actually almost left because of how horrible her attitude was towards me and towards my allergy concerns in general… 0/10 - (worse than mall food court attitude/service)
If it wasn’t for Mackenzie and the kitchen staff being so great - I would have left and never return to Short Stack.
