The owners are both gluten free and the staff is very knowledgeable. They don't have a separate menu because 90% of the regular menu can be made gluten free! The food was incredible and I couldn't say enough good things about it.

Huge GF menu! We actually went twice during our stay. Waitstaff made sure the kitchen knew I was Celiac. My favorite in the area.

Huge gf menu-food and drinks. Fries are gluten free as well. Had a great burger with fries and nahos as an appetizer. Great food and felt fine afterwards! Would definitely recommend if in Bar Harbor for dinner!

Amazing. Huge menu selection, easy to navigate. Knowledgeable & accommodating staff, DEDICATED FRYER for the tasty fries... yes!!! I'm addicted to they're Lobster Mac & Cheese (pasta is strained in dedicated strainer). Ate here several times & never once got sick & I'm very sensitive.

It was ok but the options were a bit limited. Notably for the type of restaurant, there is no GF fryer for the fries.

Really good, a LOT of options. I also have to be dairy free, sadly I found cheese in my taco but was easily able to pick around it. Switched the flour tortilla for corn.

Food was good, but threw it up almost immediately. Might've been bad seafood (got lobster mac and cheese) or gluten.

Soooo many gluten free options! I've never been to a restaurant that had such an extensive menu filled with gluten free options like this. First time I was able to have Mac and cheese since I found out I had celiac! I was so thrilled, I had to go a few times during my vacation.

This place was...fine. I ordered the lobster mac, and it was good but nothing special. The kitchen sent out a regular mac plate, so I was lucky the server caught that it was not the GF pasta as she was about to serve it to me. She quickly swapped it for the GF version. No guarantee all servers are as knowledgeable, so I have to rate this restaurant as not safe for celiacs.

So many gluten free options that I had trouble making a decision. I decided to go with the lobster quesadilla and wow it was awesome. And yes, celiac friendly.

Lots of choices- including cocktails! They did a great job and the portions are generous! Fryer only takes French fries- so it's clean. Great place- we'll be back for sure!

I ate here three times during my trip to Bar Harbor because the food was so good and there were so many celiac safe options! They take cross contamination precautions and could make almost all of their dishes on their menu gluten free. During my various times eating there I tried the lobster roll, lobster Mac and cheese, loaded nachos, a burger, and the spinach artichoke dip - all were fabulous! Loved the pub fries, too... it's always a treat when a place has celiac safe French fries that are delicious. Not to mention the staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend! They get busy, though, so if you can, call ahead to get your name on the waiting list.

Great restaurant! Had a gluten free pasta dish for dinner and a hamburger on a gluten free bun for lunch. Both were delicious. They also have sweet tea for those from the south! Rare to find in the northern states. I did not have any symptoms from gluten exposure.

My body has pretty severe intolerances to not only gluten but dairy, apples and shellfish. Staff were always very friendly and would check on ingredients if they didn't know them off the top of their heads (they usually only had to check for apple ingredients). They talked me through the kitchen processes each time and would always make a note of all my allergies. I usually would build my own sandwich and sub out the chips for the pub fries. There guacamole was also delicious. I went here many times and never had any troubles.

We ate here two days in a row. Staff takes celiac very seriously. GF rolls were excellent and they have more than one type. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with sauteed mushrooms and BBQ sauce (both days) and potato chips. Both days, they were gracious enough to open a new bag of chips to avoid cross-contamination. We also got the lobster/avocado appetizer, which comes with tortilla chips, and they did the same and opened a new bag. Our daughter got the mini slider cheeseburger with hand-cut fries on the side. She enjoyed her meal (she got it both days as well!) and it was reassuring to know they have a dedicated fryer. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how! Also, I would typically have been anxious about how crowded the restaurant was, but the prior reviews put me more at ease. No problems whatsoever, and I'm super-sensitive. Good stuff!!!

Gluten Free Mac & Cheese! It was fantastic. I will warn you the large is a really large portion. My 20 year old Celiac son could not finish it, that says a lot. Menu was clearly marked with GF options. Our server has Celiac. She went into great detail about what the kitchen does to prevent CC. Three of us eat GF and none of us got sick.

Great place! I wish I lived closer so I could come more often. There were so many options on the menu, it was hard to choose! Ended up with the apple cider brisket sandwich on GF bun and it was very, very good. Got chips on the side but should have gotten fries. They looked so good teasing me from my sister's plate with her gluten sandwich

I'm not used to having so many excellent dishes to choose from. We went back several times during our stay in Bar Harbor. The staff is celiac friendly and welcoming. I shared nachos, had my first fish tacos in ages, and had great Mac & cheese. I highly recommend this place.

I hate to be the odd man out, but my experience was disappointing. I arrived for lunch and requested a table for 1, outside. The host handed me a menu and said I could sit wherever I wanted. I walked over to the patio and realized there were no tables available, only "rail seating" on backless stools. Went back to the host, whose response was "oh, you could sit at the rail!" No thanks. Proceeded to be sat at a table inside, in the back. Took several minutes for server to greet me. I ordered water and a Down East cider on draft. At first the server said they were out of cider, then she returned and said they did have the cider and it would be out in a minute. I ordered a GF Caesar salad to start, followed by a GF lobster roll. Salad came out and it was a generous portion. Dressing was a little heavy on the pepper and lettuce could have been darker and more crisp. Still no cider. Lobster roll with chips comes out - still no cider. The lobster salad itself was good. The GF roll was good, but - it was cold and plain. No butter, no toasting, no warmth. Huge disappointment. I flagged down the server and asked about the cider. She went and got it from the bar and was like "the bartender was busy, so it's not like it was sitting there a long time." She never asked if my meal was okay. The worst part is that I had a GF lobster roll in Manhattan last week that was less expensive and much better - the roll was toasted and buttered, the lobster salad was better seasoned and they had GF clam chowder.

Ate here a few times during a vacation. They have a GF menu and (according to our Celiac waitress) they have a Celiac alert button on the ordering system that clues the kitchen staff to take extra care, like using new gloves and fresh utensils. in addition, the food is delicious. The GF mac and cheese and lobster rolls are great.

Ate at this restaurant on June 17 2015. Very accommodating and nice selection of gluten free items. Server got my cheeseburger on gluten free bun order mixed up with my husband's lobster roll on regular bun - he the gluten free bun and I got the regular bun. But they were very apologetic and finally got my order corrected after two trips back to the kitchen with my burger. They also took my order off the bill. I would eat there again even though the server got our orders mixed up.
