Sip Restaurant and Wine Bar

I got badly glutened here and I’m still not sure how or why. I checked everything with my server. I had charcuterie and cheese, steak and potatoes. The only thing I can think of is cross contamination on the wooden boards the charcuterie was on. Reaction hit me by coffee time which is really unusual for it to be that fast without higher volumes of gluten. Food was great if gluten wasn’t an issue.

Great staff. Very knowledgeable about the menu. I came during Restaurant Week and the server went the extra mile to ask the chef about the menu and even substituted gluten free bread so I could have avocado toast. The food and wine flight was the best gf meal I’ve had in a long time. I didn’t feel excluding. I even had a yummy dessert. I would eat here again.

This place was pretty disappointing. I have been there a handful of times and each time I go the waiters and managers tell me different answers to if the "dedicated" gluten free fryer is in fact gluten free. Poor communication and lack luster attitude about gluten free options is surprising. This establishment is not safe for anyone trying to avoid gluten.
