Review of Slappy Cakes

NOT SAFE FOR CELIACS!!!!!!!!

We've eaten at Slappy Cakes in Portland with no problems, so we were excited to find this location on our vacation in Maui for our celiac twins' birthday breakfast. As usual, we had them double-sanitize the griddle, talked to kitchen staff, ordered from the gluten-free menu. Three hours later, both kids are throwing up (their normal gluten reaction). To be fair, they do warn that they aren't a gluten-free kitchen...but very few places are and they did say they take precautions. The kids had the BEST time and loved the food, so it's very sad that they are so sick. Please avoid if you're celiac.
