Review of Slightly North of Broad Restaurant

They had a gluten free menu. However, the server did not seem knowledgeable about what gluten free really meant. Staff needs to be better trained. For instance, she told me that they could swap out the grits for something else if I wanted (grits are GF). I ordered the crab cake from the GF menu. It was brought to the table along with avocado on toast (toast not mentioned on GF menu). I asked if the toast was GF (it was not), she realized her mistake, and brought it back to the kitchen. I told her I would need the whole thing replated, and she said no problem and apologized.

Kid 1 liked their hamburger, kid2 liked their steak frite. Husband liked his shrimp and grits. After they brought me the GF version, I liked my crab cake very much. The chili verde was excellent. Staff was friendly but misinformed.
