Delicious food—some of the best we had our whole trip— and SUPER knowledgeable staff about celiac/GF. Felt very safe!

Nothing was marked on the menu but the food was delicious! The waiter said most things are already gf and other things could be modified but they didn’t get much information. I got the salmon and it was amazing. The dessert menu had one option marked gf/df and it was really good too! Not 100% sure of cross contamination concerns.

My server assured me that most of the menu was GF so I went with the blue tamale and Brussels sprouts. The food was good, very rich. I do agree with another reviewer that having a note about how much of the menu is or can be made GF would go along way. The server said there was no need to tell the kitchen about my Celiac since it was already GF. I am taking away a star for this since I don’t think the restaurant truly understands the reality of having a medical situation such as I have and many others have.

No gluten free menu. Not marked on menu. However, they offer gluten free bread when requested and could make most options gluten free. At first disappointed, all items selected could not be modified. Ended up really enjoying the options we could work out. Highly suggested they make it easier - just add gluten free to the menu.

Great food and very knowledgeable staff! Our waitress knew every GF item on the menu and made sure that when each dish was served that it was double checked and stated that it was in fact GF.

Our waiter knew the gluten free items on the menu. Everything was delicious. Prices were high, even by Vail standards.

This is the same location as Terra Bistro, but has changed names. We had a wonderful meal and I felt very safe. They don’t use the fryer for anything gluten.

My son is Celiac and this was a great find. The waiter was educated on Celiac. There is no gluten that goes into the fryer so there were so many options available! Highly recommend.
Update- This location is now The Slope Room. Many GF options and very educated on Celiac. Excellent meal and felt confident that the precautions were taken to provide a safe meal.

Fantastic meal! Fantastic service! They are the self-proclaimed celiac & allergy friendly restaurant in Vail. The majority of the menu is GF including the desserts!

I sat down at the bar to eat dinner and started asking justin, the bartender. the usual questions Celiac's ask about the menu and what is gluten free as it was not labeled. Justin stopped me and said that everything on the menu is gluten free except the crab cakes and the pasta. I couldn't believe it so I asked again and he assured me. They are known in Vail to be focused on fresh ingredients and gluten free. He brought me a freshly made cracker instead of bread and as he described it, it tastes like a Pringle but way better. He was absolutely correct and it was delicious. The food is delicious and it was such a nice reprieve for me to not have to stress about if there is gluten in the food. The short rib that I had for dinner was amazing. Great service, good food, I will definitely go back!

Most of the menu is naturally gf. The crackers they serve for ‘bread’ are gf. Servers totally got it. Food is very good as well.

Although they didn’t have a separate gluten free menu or items marked, (as of 1/8/18), most of the menu is gluten free *as is* and only a few items are not. Server was very knowledgeable and helpful. They bring out a gluten free thin cracker of sorts with a yummy lentil dip instead of bread. Best meal in Vail - my companions wanted to go back again!
We went to happy hour before our dinner reservation but ended up just eating the happy hour small plates. They were delicious! Our favorites were the winter rolls, the butternut squash soup and the vitality salad. Only 4 stars because one of the bartenders was awful, we think he was new but we had to order everything multiple times with him for him to get it to us, when we ordered with the other bartender the service was great.
Best meal I had in Vail! Pricey but it's fine dining. Lots of gf options labelled right on the menu. I had the scallops, barramundi and flourless chocolate torte, and all three were excellent. (Just 2 large scallops for the app, but the entrée and dessert portions were generous). I have celiac dz and was fine. My dining companions also raved about their meals.

Delicious dinner. Waitstaff was very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. Not a separate Fryer however very few items that are friend contain gluten. Plenty of meal options. Recommend!
Very accommodating upscale dining.

Very helpful, celiac friendly, delicious food. If you are in Vail you need to go hear.
I first came here last year during my annual ski trip to Vail and loved it. When returning to Vail this year, I knew I had to come back to Terra Bistro. The vast majority of the items on the menu are gluten free, and the menu clearly marks the items that contain gluten. The waiter and kitchen were wonderful about answering questions and accommodating my extensive dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy, egg, alcohol/vinegar, legumes). The food and service were excellent. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meals. I'll be back next year!
