Never leave reviews but felt obliged. Daughter has celiac and never gets nachos so was very excited to see this place. We went in and they had no nachos and wouldn’t serve us GF toast b/c it was after noon (12:45p). As we were ordering, the other brunette waitress had begun salting the rim of the drink. I said u should stop b/c we will have to leave if there is no GF food - she immediately threw the glass down, complained out loud that she already started, and proceeded to ignore us and start helping someone else. Another waiter chased down some GF nachos. I later stopped the female waitress and told her that is was hard enough to find a place to eat celiac and my daughter doesn’t need to be made feel as though she is an inconvenience. Everyone else was nice.

They did a good job of working with us on gluten. Gluten free rolls. Fryer shared so no fries/chips. If you have kids they need to be out by 6.

Gluten free dedicated menu
We came for the endless lunch, my gluten eating friends had an excellent time but the options for gluten free are limited, and on the day I went there was some issue that meant that the patatas bravas was not available to me. Then when the dessert came, I ordered the cheesecake bites, listed in the gluten free menu to come with chocolate sauce. When they arrived it was clearly biscoff sauce, so I double checked with the waitress who confirmed it was gluten free. I wasn’t convinced and so a friend tried one and confirmed it was biscoff sauce. Raising this issue with the staff they tried to tell me that the sauce was gluten free, which I was shocked by and so asked to see the bottle, they disappeared into the kitchen and came back out to apologise and say that the instructions they have in the kitchen tell them to use the sauce for the gluten free order, but it did contain gluten. After asking for compensation they provided a bottle of the Prosecco for the table. TL;DR specify the exact changes in dishes when ordering gluten free alternatives or risk unsure staff contamination.

Gave me little confidence that they take allergies seriously. Shared starters came out different to described on the pre-order menu which meant some were no longer gluten free / had gluten on the plate. Friend with nut allergy was just given the same main as me even though she ordered something else. They gave both me and her a desert with had both gluten and nuts in and seemed very confused even though I had ordered a different desert. When checking regarding allergies on the phone we were told nothing on the menu contained nuts. My friends nut allergy is airborne so she reacted as the rest of the table had also been served the nut containing desert, the staff did little to rectify the situation.

Daughter can’t have gluten or dairy. Slug & Lettuce staff were very nice. Daughter had chicken skewer, chips & beans with a jelly for dessert. I was assured they have a separate frier for GF food.

I was told to order gluten free food at the bar rather than on the app, but upon doing so they advised there was no food at all that may not be cross-contaminated so there was nothing on the menu I could safely order!
