Staff were so helpful and walked me through all ingredients and made me feel great. Highly recommend this place! Only recommendation is having the option to order fresh and customize salads a bit more.
All options gluten free with celiac warnings on a couple of menu options due to spices coming from India so risk of cross contamination. Great tasting and quick food.

I had the southwest avocado side salad, coconut pork, and peach tea and got really sick after eating here. Ate the same things several times at the location on Granville without issues.
This place is NOT 100% gluten like they claim. They use nuts that have a may contain wheat warning (Dan d pak) which are not safe for celiacs (nuts are a high risk for cross contamination so they should be certified gluten free). They also use spices imported from India which they cannot guarantee is gluten free. With all of this in mind they should NOT be labeling this restaurant as 100% gluten free (they have celiac warnings which is not allowed).
Delicious! He had the Meaty Brekky Bowl and a side of toast. Happy taste buds and tummy. We will definitely eat here again in the future!

I love this place! There are icons on the menu for the products that aren’t safe for celiacs (which aren’t a lot). I would definitely recommend for people that love healthy quick food.

When they talk about healthy fast food, it was FAST. Almost immediately after ordering, the food was ready. My boyfriend and I got hot bowls and they were very Indian-Thai inspired because they were curry and spice (I don’t mean spicy, I mean used a few spices) heavy. The food was good and delicious and the lady that was working was nice. I got a mango lassi, it was a little pricey for the taste, but it was still good. Essentially, the whole menu is gluten free - they just make mentions of items that they don’t know the true origin facility, so it could have touched wheat at some point. For a quick eat with flavor I’d come here again.

Everything we ate was great, I felt safe eating here!

This place is meh. I'm not a fan of misleading info about whether items are Celiac safe. Not a fan of the food.
Despite their own marketing claims to the contrary, Smak isn't actually 100% gluten-free. If you look closely, a number of menu items are not celiac safe so cross contamination is an issue here if you're eating GF out of medical necessity rather than preference. Decent food, if not a bit pricey for what you get, but order carefully if you're celiac.
A place where you can get a healthy meal quickly. I had veggie chili. It was good and fresh. My husband didn't fare well at this place, though. He eats gluten, but it was just too far out there for him. He ended up getting a Cesar salad, which was pretty disappointing to him. Overall the food was fast, fresh, and good - not great.

Had a mango lassi smoothie (1st visit) and a green curry chicken meat bowl (2nd visit). I'd have both again. Healthy fast food. GF. Really friendly and helpful staff on both visits. I'm going back for a breakfast sandwich tomorrow!!!
I have Celiac and was a bit nervous to try SMAK after some of the reviews. But our hotel was only a block away, and I really didn't know where I was going to get a better option for a safe breakfast so we came here...Three times! I had a great breakfast and was actually afraid to eat the GF bread that came with my meal because it tasted so "real". My husband actually liked it too, and ordered it for himself the other mornings. I did have the same breakfast every time - the veggie SMAK hash. Scrambled egg mixed with potatoes, yams, mushrooms and spinach. And the yummy bread. The coconut milk latte was also delicious. So glad I tried this place.

delicious options for breakfast. completely gfree restaurant but they do serve gf oats which not all of us can tolerate so they are marked with a 'celiac warning'.
I got super sick here. I wrote the owner and he basically said this place is not for celiacs!
Terrible and they are messing with people's health. I will show you the emails if you contact me.
There are ingredients marked saying they are not celiac safe which makes this a false advertisement of a dedicated GF facility.
No
Fabulous muffin and many options.

Good options but confusing! Some of their items have a Celiac Warning in them. But the person who waited on us insisted they are all safe and that due to Canadian law, they cannot say something is GF for celiac unless they have it certified. I noticed that most items that have the celiac warning have oats in them. I asked if the oats were GF oats and she said yes - so not sure... Confusing. We avoided the items with the Celiac Warning despite her insistence.

Great to have gluten free options. Love it!!
The yam soup, SMAK soda, and blueberry muffins were delicious and the pricing reasonable. It's great that food is labeled by whether it is safe for celiacs, vegetarian, etc. As a celiac, I really appreciate the "celiac warning". I recommend!

The food is great and healthy! Note the Butterless Chicken should be identified on the menu as unsuitable for Celiacs but is not; I was advised when I went in the following day and, having had the Butterless Chicken the night before, I realized it may have caused a mild reaction. Also note that oats are used in quite a few products.

What a treat! Besides being totally gluten free, they offer a variety of vegetarian, vegan, nut free, soy free, etc. If you eat meat, they serve organic. I had the Red Veg Curry bowl. It was tasty with just the right amount of spice. I also had their power greens salad and their protein boost salad. The salads were full of fresh greens, veggies, with edamame or peas for more protein. I liked them so much, I took a couple of salads back to my hotel to have for breakfast during the week.
