I’ve been sick here multiple times. They’ve even gave me my food with a gluten bun on it because I didn’t watch them make it through the window to the kitchen. Would NEVER recommend.
Great place to grab gluten free burger and fries 🍟
I also got sick from the fries, which they told me were gluten free! Very sad, they should take them off the list of gluten free options. The sandwiches are delicious and seem safe. The manager told me they clean the fryer on Fridays, so that makes it gluten free. I explained that's not how it works, but it's still on their menu.
Gluten free bun is good. When we first went in I asked the cashier if the fries were fried in their own fryer because I had a gluten allergy. She told me that their fries were gluten free. Come to find out they arn’t fried separately and I’m sick today. Won’t be back.
When I used to go here, it was great. But then all the sudden, they told me their milkshakes weren’t gluten free because of the ice cream they use, but I always got milkshakes there and never got sick. I also eat hagen daz ice cream often and it says gluten free on the label. I don’t know what happened.
Beware they toast the GF bun and not ask. Went through the toaster with gluten buns.
Was very hesitant to try this place, having seen nightmare kitchen practices at similar places. Let me first say, the gentleman at the register was courteous, kind, and considerate of the fact that I am Celiac and seemed to understand the consequences. I asked about the buns and prep areas, the fryer and the sauces, etc....all of which he had prompt responses to. I can happily report that I LOVED the mushroom burger on Udis bun I had, and oh my goodness, the Smash fries are almost as good as the ones I make myself😂. But seriously, great food. Separate fryer for you fry lovers, buns are toasted/warmed in a separate appliance from the burger grill, and the cashier let the cook know about the sensitivity order. I can’t say for sure if the cook regloved, but I know they would not hesitate if asked to do so. Great Job Smash Burger.
Gluten free udis bun. Allergy or preference. Don't toast bun if for allergy. Service was very quick and excellent burgers. We ordered 4 kids meals and we messed up the side for one of our kids and manager brought out new side right away for no charge. Survey on receipt for free side, drink or shake.
The manager Jeffrey is an absolute doll. He has allergies as well so he understands how to take customers seriously. He checked all the seasonings to make sure they were ok, as there are a few different seasonings in the hamburger meat and one on the fries. My GF burger bun was toasted on a separate cooking surface and not in the toaster. If he is not there ask to have this done. The bun was tasty, but the bottom fell apart so I flipped it upside down as the top is very sturdy. The rosemary fries are delicious! Overall very happy with my experience and I will be back.
My celiac son loves the smash chicken sandwich! Just be sure to ask the bun not to be toasted to avoid cross contamination. The trainer was there the first time we ordered and she specifically told us to tell them when ordering. He’s inadvertently had it toasted a couple of times and had no adverse reaction, but to to be safe we say not toasted.
I loved Smash Burger before I had an allergic reaction to gluten. I saw on line where they had a gluten free bun so stopped in today for a burger to find out they have a dedicated fryer so I can also still have my Smashfries!!!
Was told “all burgers can be gluten free, just need to change the bun”. That’s what I did, I took the chicken avocado and so far I feel good.
Told them my son has Celiac. They explained how they have a special area on the grill where they prepare GF burgers and buns. They now have a dedicated fryer for fries and tater tots as the breaded items are fried in a separate fryer. Udi’s bun on the burger was good. Great experience for my son to be able to go and have a burger and fries without stress. The guy at the register was very knowledgeable. Great experience overall. Still possible cross contamination issues but they are making big steps toward helping those with Celiac.
Four Celiacs in our party went to Moore Smashburger last night. So great to have the GF bun option! No bread is placed on grill per mgr! Separate fryer for fries. Such a treat! Mgr changed out fryer grease so we could all have French fries that were for certain not cross contaminated. He suggested to call ahead so they could swap out fryer grease without causing us to wait next time. Highly recommend!
I ate here once before and was okay, but this past weekend I was not. I have celiac and a milk allergy, and I notified them of it when placing my order. They correctly gave me a gluten free bun (non-grilled), but they melted cheese onto my burger after even having confirmed with the kitchen that there is an allergy. I didn’t notice as it looked like mustard, so I had an allergic reaction. They also placed my family member’s gluten-full fried pickles on top of my wrapped burger in a bag, spilling all over the wrapping. When I asked to make sure there was no cross contamination before checking the bag itself, they insisted my food was made safely. Obviously it was not.If you have celiac, I don’t feel comfortable telling you this is even relatively a safe place to eat at if they couldn’t get the dairy allergy down as well, which is easier than gluten cross contamination.
