Friendly and knowledgeable server. Most items on the menu can be gluten-free but they can't guarantee no cross contamination. The Ginger Beef started is not gluten-free. I had the mushroom, bacon, cheese omelette with shredded potato and gluten-free bread. Was good. Nice family type restaurant.
Good place for basic gluten free breakfast. The shredded hash browns are gluten free, but the cubes ones are not. Also the breakfast sausages are not safe either, but all the rest of the meats are. They do have gluten free toast as well.
Have breakfast here a couple times a month and have had no issues with cross contamination. I'm celiac and fairly sensitive too cross contamination. Just make sure to inform your server that you need it to be gluten free.
Since I only eat the for breakfast I can't comment on how dinner or lunch meals are
I didn’t get sick, so this was a win overall, plus they could do eggs benny! Yum! Couldn’t have normal hash browns tho, so that was a little sad. I recommend the owners get in contact with the Main St Smitty’s and pick their brains on processes to support GF restrictions for Celiac. Especially marking the plate in some way.
*Update below* Kinda gluten friendly. No one really talked to us about the gluten free needs. They gave us a list of gluten friendly items and left us to figure it out on our own.
Edit: on further review. Asked for gluten free French toast. Food came and looked like regular bread to me, asked the waitress if it was gluten free she insisted that it was…… it most definitely was NOT gluten free bread. It was just brown bread. NOT a happy camper
