Delicious gluten free bread!
Keep on Snarfin', Dany! Thanks for the review!
Our staff is required to change their gloves before preparing a gluten-free sandwich. The sandwich is prepared on a separate piece of tinfoil so that it doesn’t touch the counter where non-GF sandwiches are prepared. All of our sandwiches are toasted by going through a broiler. While we do not have a separate gluten-free broiler, we do put the GF sandwiches on a separate tray to go through the broiler. After a GF sandwich is prepared, it is cut using a specifically labeled “GF” knife. It is then labeled “GF” on the wrapping.
DISCLAIMER: Because we do not have a gluten-free kitchen, there is always the risk of cross-contamination with gluten. We make all attempts to provide a completely gluten-free experience for people with a gluten allergy or intolerance; however, we cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contamination.
Great sandwich, really enjoyed the gluten free bread. I ordered delivery and marked my allergy through their own site. My only complaint is you can’t mark allergies the same way on DoorDash, ordering through their site was more expensive. Very good sandwich though. Didn’t get sick.
It’s hard to find Celiac-safe deli-style sandwiches anywhere, so I love coming here. The staff at Snarf’s are happy to walk you through their gluten-free protocols. Bread is toasted separately and placed on foil. The staff is careful to avoid touching the shared toppings when making the regular sandwiches. I watched the staff change their gloves and carefully cut my sandwich apart from the other sandwiches with a specific gluten-free knife. The bread here is incredible, and I cannot begin to describe how good their sandwiches are. I have eaten here three times in the past year with no issues. This is one of my top choices in Metro Denver, and I can't wait to return!
What a review! We are so happy with your positive experience with us, and we can't wait to keep serving you up some yummy GF sammies!
I’ve had great experiences in the past with snarfs but today I had a bad reaction to my GF sandwich :/ this is the first reaction out of probably 20 sandwiches so I think I just got unlucky…
Hey Caitlyn, thank you for this for review despite your experience. We can't guarantee no cross contamination; however, feel free to email me at [email protected] so we can chat more about your visit with us!
They have a new sign saying they can't accommodate Celiac. * edited: to be clear: love this shop. My teenager (not Celiac) eats there regularly. New sign says staff not trained & can't accommodate Celiac. I will take a pic sometime. Reads like a change in policy beyond obvious cross-contamination possibilities. Would love a middle ground & hope those without Celiac keep supporting the store. They do have gf bread
