Nice to feel like most everything on the menu is available for someone who’s a celiac. The manager said the owner wanted to walk into the kitchen and safely eat as a celiac as well. That simplified the decision when looking for a place to eat after an impromptu joy ride to the Panhandle.
The waitress was attentive and worked with the kitchen to make modifications when I asked for baked oysters with salt and lemon, which was not on the menu. The Oyster Rockefeller was also tasty.
For entrees, I had grilled mahi mahi tacos with coleslaw and corn. The white corn based taco was soft and a nice treat, having not had one in years.
My fellow GF diner ate the fried seafood sampler, which we decided was best a shared meal. Thankfully all fried food in the kitchen is gluten free. The fried shrimp was the hit of that meal, as were the GF hush puppies.
Next visit that Necoise salad looks more manageable. We left half the sampler untouched, it was so big. The manager warned us, but the chance for some GF fried shrimp and GF fried hushpuppies proved too tempting. Sometimes you have to indulge an impulse. LOL
