If I weren’t celiac I would highly recommend this place! I ordered all gluten free food and immediately got sick following my meal. Good food just not worth the celiac aftermath.

Called to check about allergy information, server I talked to seemed well informed. But the server we had didn't know much about the food and had to keep checking with the kitchen. Chips have a dedicated frying, and I was able to find several things that were gluten and dairy free. Food was delicious, try the carnitas. Definitely recommend.

Talked to the waitress before ordering about GF options and cooking methods...should have asked more questions.
We ordered the chip and dip sampler with homemade fries. Waitress assured me the chips were made in dedicated fryer. I ordered the Mission Burrito in a bowl to be careful with preparation. Everything tasted great but about 10mins later I had a horrible reaction. Full on Celiac reaction, stomach cramps, nausea, brain fog, headache, running to the bathroom, the works! All evening!
Ask better questions about how food is prepared and if they change gloves, utensils. Lesson learned.

Server said that everything I ordered was gluten free, the chips and the carnitas platter, but ended up having a horrible reaction within ten minutes of eating there. Not safe for gluten free

Best Mexican I’ve ever had. Had the Mission Burrito Bowl with the chicken. Very good. Just wish the gave chips to start with but you have to purchase them.

Server was very helpful about what items on the menu are GF & dairy free. I had the carnitas plate and it was delicious. Plus they allow dogs on their back patio. Highly recommend!

In my opinion this is the best gluten free option in Leavenworth. The server immediately picked up on the fact that I was gluten free and took it from there. She made the perfect recommendations and created a safe dining experience for me.
Except for burritos, which are American by design and use flour tortillas, all other options are available with corn. The ingredients are clearly listed. Be responsible for you and read menus then ask questions.
Excellent cocktails.

The staff has no idea what gluten is because they aren’t trained. Cross contamination is a thing. Do not eat here if you are allergic or have major issues with gluten.

I’m surprised to see positive reviews - I used to *love* South pre-diagnosis. I sat down with some staff after diagnosis to see if anything was safe, they said nope. Serious cc, shared fryers with flour tortillas, all torts are dipped in sauces, shared flat grills/pans, etc. Not even the plain tortilla chips are safe due to shared fryers. It’s sad really 😔 Not safe!

Seriously ate here every night during my stay in Leavenworth. I have celiac and they were very knowledgeable and accommodating.
Had one of the worst gluten reactions of my life. Very heavy cross contamination.

The waitress was incredibly helpful with all my dietary concerns. I am laying off dairy besides being Celiac and she warned me about the guacamole having dairy too. The service alone was worth it but the meal was delicious and the drinks were too! What a gem!
This restaurant is excellent! Yes, it is celiac friendly. I had a great meal here. It's one of the few places in Leavenworth that I have found that has many GF options.
Yes
This place has AMAZING fresh, healthy, delicious Mexican safe for celiac. Communicate up front with your server about your need for GF and you're in for a treat.
Yes
It was good but not at gluten free friendly. There were dairy free options but not much for gf. They do let you know what you can have. Nice atmosphere and good service.
No
No gluten free menu. They worn you of cross contamination. No dedicated fryer so corn chipd are a no go.

We ate here on our way to Lake Chelan. Found it on my find me gluten free app. Ordered mini tacos carne asada and carnitas. Delicious. Came with chips and coleslaw. All dairy free. We r not celiac. Both of us did not have any negative reactions. Next day stopped for lunch on way back home. Tried the lunch special tostada , mini taco and cilantro rice. Excellent. Will come back again next trip to Leavenworth.
The Wenatchee location has a great staff. Very friendly and made sure I knew what was gluten free and what was "celiac gf". Bottom line: order the ceviche and ask them to remove the Johnny's seasoning. They also have corn tortillas and gf small tacos.
