Not Celiac Safe! I Went to this restaurant based on some of the other positive reviews on this app. We spoke with our waitress as soon as we were seated to let her know that I had Celiac Disease and ask about what accommodations can be made.
We were advised that they were out of Gluten-free pizza, but that they offer gluten-free pasta as a substitute for most dishes on the menu. She said that they use different pots and strainers and the gluten-free pasta is unique in shape to prevent kitchen confusion (Penne).
Halfway through my meal, I found a normal spaghetti noodle mixed in with the gluten-free penne pasta. I proceeded to tell the waitress who took a moment to speak with the chef and manager. It was at this time we were advised by the manager that the waitress was wrong and that they do not use separate strainers for their pasta and cross-contamination is highly likely with the pasta.
This place is as incredible! I went with a few friends a year ago right when they were opening. Our server was soo hospitable and attentive with my celiacs. I ordered GF pasta and they ensured me they use a separate pot, water, gloves, etc when handling for allergies. I can’t wait to go back on my next trip into town!
Ordered pizza to be delivered from Slice.com
The pizza was good and I did enjoy the crust. It was thin, Gluten free and overall pretty tasty. The ingredients seemed fresh and I would return. I am a celiac and had zero reaction. I let them know up front and they did accommodate.
I have now eaten there twice with no reaction! Jump and give it a try!
