I have Celiac Disease. This place is amazing. Their gluten free bun is a from scratch made bun not the frozen kind most restaurants have. They also have a separate fryer and can make a lot of the fried items gluten free with rice flour. We had gluten free fried mushrooms as an appetizer and then I was able to have a burger and fries both gluten free. I had the "Elvis". Fried banana and peanut butter burger.

Good gluten-free bun, burger over cooked; shared fryer so all fried stuff no go.
Other people in party asked for no scallions on duck fat fries….was covered/mixed with lots of scallions.

What a find! We had never been to Knoxville before and had the best lunch experience. We weren’t able to partake of the bourbon as we were driving a long distance in the afternoon but the burgers were delectable. It was local beef and you could tell. They had some locally made GF buns that elevated the burger to a new level. The side salad with beets was equally delicious. The service was wonderful, our waitress very helpful and knowledgeable about ingredients. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant, it was one of the best lunches I ever had.

I’m very disappointed! I just arrived here and there is no GF menu. There is nothing marked on the regular menu. The waiter says basically everything is cross contaminated. :(

I had the farmhouse burger and it was fabulous. Amazing biscuit bun. I ate at the bar and the bartender was excellent about making sure the kitchen knew my order needed to be gluten free.

Disappointing I can’t get fries with my order but staff is super knowledgeable and swaps it out with a salad.

Excellent food. Waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten content of foods, which I could eat & which not. The deep fryer is used for fries & onion rings so you can’t eat the fries. The burger was excellent, if you careful the bun will last, it’s cornmeal based so separates easily. The tomato salad I got as a side also excellent. No reactions or issues with the food.
The food was amazing, the staff friendly, we would highly recommend!!!

Staff were very knowledgeable and able to adapt many items to make them gluten friendly. The gluten free bun was delicious (but messy). The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of a dedicated fryer which makes many options off limits to those very sensitive.
These burgers are amazing! They are huge, so you may not be able to finish one by yourself, especially with the big side of fries they give you. You need to try this place out if you haven’t!
Got a burger, everyone was super attentive and knew what they were talking about! They were careful to make sure every ingredient was GF and they were very clear about the fryer being CC. The bun totally fell apart but the burger was still so delicious. I ate half of it with a fork and knife, still worth it. Would come back!

DELICIOUS amazing gluten free burgers and side salad. Very happy with this restaurant. Celiac friendly. Buns are crumbly but lasted till the end. The gluten free bun is like a delicious salty biscuit with a super good flour flavor. Im definitely coming back here!
Awesome burgers on gf buns. No dedicated fryer :( but still, good service and great food. Strangely, the hostess is clueless about their GF options which made us wary at first but our server was confident and we had a great, safe meal!
Great food with an awesome bun! Shared fryer unfortunately, but they have other salad sides you can have.

Yummy in my tummy. I had the farmhouse burger with the bean and corn salad. The gf bun does disintegrate because it's more like a biscuit than a bun.

I asked the hostess for a GF menu or if the regular menu had GF notations. She said no but our server would be happy to explain the GF items. I thought, oh boy...but when I asked the server she did exactly that. She explained what burgers (all but 3) are GF and it will come with a GF bun. She said the fries and onion rings share a common fryer and therefore are cross contaminated. I was impressed with her knowledge and how friendly she was while explaining. I opted not to get the fries, although my kids did. I chose the village tomato salad. I'd rather have fries but I know my limits. The tomatoes are amazing. It comes in a small skillet with feta, balsamic, a few other misc veggies. I ate most of it. But the burgers, to die for. Almost 4 years GF and it was the best one I believe I've had. Very fresh, bread was good but a bit crumbly under the weight of the burger. I'm pretty small and don't usually eat a whole burger but I forced myself to finish it because of how good it was. My son is 14 and eats a ton, he walked away satisfied so that tells you the portions are good. I did try one fry, they are good...handout and seasoned well. My daughter's stomach did hurt this evening for a bit but my son is fine. I highly recommend S&B.
awesome place. staff are very good with celiac awareness. burgers are amazing!!!

Amazing gluten free buns on deliciously made burgers! Not 100 % sure about fry seasoning, but it didn't do anything to me so i assumed it was fine! Give it a try if your a burger fan!!
