Sugarfish was very knowledgeable about what could be made GF and what couldn’t.
This restaurant handles gluten allergies with perfection! They have some standard meals that they are known for, but the chefs can adjust them for Celiac and for my wife's allergy to shellfish. They substituted another fish for their imitation crab, didn't use ponzu sauce, and verified that their wasabi mix was gluten free. We had a wonderful meal with no bad effects afterwards.
The servers are knowledgeable about allergies and can easily accommodate the tasting menu to be gf. Unfortunately they don’t have gf soy sauce so I have to bring my own. I’ve eaten here in person and ordered from here many times and have always been safe.
Sugarfish is excellent when it comes to gluten free options. It’s very straightforward for them since they just eliminate the sauce on the sushi. Their rice is gluten free and their edamame is as well. Excellent quality fish. I’ve eaten here many times with absolutely no issues. It gets busy so best chance of getting seated quickly is to go during off hours. They do not have gf soy sauce (tamari), so bring your own if you’d like. I find the fish is so good it’s not needed.
I LOVE this place so much. I always get the “Trust Me.” They give you small plates of sushi as soon as it’s made. Everything is made fresh. There are about 6 or 7 small plates of sushi that come out with the Trust Me order. Ask for it to be gluten free due to it being an allergy. You won’t get any of the sauces on your sushi, that’s how you’ll know it’s gluten free. We also always get the super dry saki to drink! Have never gotten sick and have been here at least half a dozen times. I bring my own tamari sauce to dip the sushi in if I want but I also like adding the pickled ginger! Please come here and write reviews!!
