Nice modern Asian/sushi place. GF clearly marked, staff asks beforehand for allergies, know their stuff. Enjoyed dinner twice here in a week. Did not get sick while very sensitive. Recommend the fried rice Wagyu and the sweet potatoes sushi.

The vegan sushi was safe for me to eat. I ordered the garden futomaki and the sweet potato caterpillar roll. Both were excellent. Would go back to try more gf options off their menu

Went here while visiting Chicago. Waiter was very knowledgeable and knew what dishes I could have that were gluten free. Some dishes could be made gf that were not marked on the menu. When food is brought out they will tell you if someone at your table ordered a non-gluten free dish, which was awesome. I had the best pad thai and sushi. Can't wait to go back.

We had a relaxing time and really enjoyed the delicious food here for dinner. The servers understood what gf meant and every server who came to the table knew who the celiac was.

Nice restaurant, had a good experience. They have a separate gluten free menu but unfortunately there are only 2 sushi rolls that are gluten free and those are both veggie rolls. I had the Garden Futomaki roll which was good but I wish I could’ve had one with fish. Love the miso soup & edamame!

They were knowledgeable about GF and cross contamination but GF menu was disappointing in terms of options. Especially was hoping for more sushi options. It was a bit pricey for what was available. Restaurant was super loud too. I know, I’m old 😂.

Food was delicious. We went for brunch and even though the gluten free menu is for dinner the waitress was able to tell us what was gluten free on the brunch menu.

Outstanding food. Our waitress eats GF and she had the best recommendations. My daughter (11 years old) and I are both celiac and we highly recommend going here. Try the pad Thai and Cod. Amazing!

Excellent! They were very knowledgeable and careful with food allergies. They had a separate GF menu and I ordered the skirt steak and it was delicious!

The food was delicious. They served us really fast. The only complaint I have is that the waiters take away your silverware if you leave it on a empty dish.

Okay food - needed to make a reservation despite plenty of open tables. Used open table to make a reservation on the spot and was seated promptly. Gluten free menu is limited but tasty. Good Friday night place if you’re into the club atmosphere.

Underwhelming and disappointing. The Pad Thai was dry and service slow but in fairness it was a busy Friday night . The best factor was the waitress asked if there were any allergies upon taking our order.

I have Celiac & ate here based on the reviews from this app. Im so glad I did! It was absolutely delicious!! I had the edamame, rainbow and tail of two tunas (very spicy so beware lol) rolls plus an order of crispy rice. They were all phenomenal! The crispy rice is fried in butter so ask for it to be made another way if you need to be dairy free, FYI.

We had an overall amazing experience at Sunda. Two in our party were gluten free and they were very accommodating. The Wagyu crispy rice is an absolute must - the taste is unbelievable. Kimberly was our server and she was the best! A++

The wagyu crispy rice is the best thing I have ever eaten. Service was fantastic and asked if anyone had any allergies right when we sat down. They brought separate gluten free soy sauce for the sushi rolls.

Have enjoyed Sunda for years and never gotten sick. Excellent celiac awareness and understanding. They are currently doing a somewhat more limited takeout menu during the pandemic. The guy who took the order made a point of letting me know the sushi would come with tamari even though it would not be marked container. Highly recommend

Yum!! The food here is so delicious. There are so many options on the gluten free menu. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and immediately let the chef know that I was celiac. We had a great experience!

Had a gluten free menu, when I asked about cross-contamination the waitress assured me that the kitchen has procedures to prevent this. Food was delicious!

Sunda is fantastic. Not only were the veggie rolls I had amazing, but the staff was SO accommodating. When I asked for a GF menu, she immediately asked if I had a gluten intolerance or Celiac and when I specified Celiac, she wrote it down. Every different server that dropped plates off at our table made sure to say whether the dish was safe for Celiacs or not. I also didn’t even have to ask for GF soy sauce, they were on top of it and even put it in a different boat so it was obvious which was mine. I was really impressed by the service here. I will definitely be returning!

Incredible. Best meal I had in Chicago. Designated GF menu and super informed wait staff and prep staff. I had the Tale of 2 Tuna roll and the chicken pad Thai. It was heavenly.

Excellent food. So many choices. Presentation was gorgeous, but more importantly the food was fantastic and I didn't get sick 🤩 Our server, Jonny, was great!

Have eaten here twice this weekend with no problem . Food is very delicious , a little expensive , but worth eating here and not get sick

They have a sperate GF menu. The staff is knowledgable and the sushi is tasty!

What an amazing find! The gluten free menu has a variety of inspired options. The fish was exquisitely fresh, and the ginger was especially pungent. If you like spicy tuna, the avocado stuffed with spicy tuna is a must. The Sunda Sunday, their signature dessert, is refreshing combination of unexpected flavors. Evan Fuller, our waiter was both very personable and extremely knowledgeable about gluten issues.

Gluten free sushi was fantastic. They made sure to bring out gluten free soy sauce as well. We also had the chicken pad Thai, which was good but not fantastic. The sushi is wonderful, though!
Gluten free menu and outstanding food!
