Review of Sundae School Ice Cream

We have been visiting Sundae School for many years and love it. In the past, I have been able to order almost any gf ice cream and the scooper would open a new container from the back to scoop from. This is no longer the case. There is now a separate allergy free freezer that only contains about 8 flavors, 2 or 3 of them are not gluten free, such as cookie dough and Oreo. The ones that are gluten free are vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint chip and black raspberry. While I do appreciate that they take the time and precautions to avoid cross-contamination (they change gloves, use clean scoops, only use to-go containers instead of glass bowls and get clean plastic spoon out of box), it is a little sad to go into an ice cream parlor that has so many gluten free flavors and only be able to choose the most basic flavors. Oh, and the toppings? Also not gluten free because of cross contamination.
