Avoid at all costs. Not only is there no GF on the menu. No one here listens.

Set aside the fact we are in the middle of a pandemic with short staff, we did have to wait awhile as staff were looking at my husband and I.. almost left but gave them another chance before skipping out, have the gentlemen whom was a bar tender and he was familiar with celiac and informed the chefs which majority of h ty me don’t speak English, I did not get sick and I have celiac.

We ate here several times when they had a gluten free menu, now they took it off. We asked if we can have a server knowledgeable about gluten and had him talk to the kitchen about cleaning the grill. We all had grilled fish or steak, plain white rice and veggies, no problems! 2 Celiac’s here. It felt VERY uneasy and we may not go back, but they CAN provide something for you if in a bind.

Came in today and was told 2 weeks ago new management eliminated the gluten free menu. They were friendly but said that the only “gluten free” items were the ones that were obviously gluten free but that they couldn’t speak on behalf of the kitchen. We felt unsafe and left.

Accommodating wait staff and chef. Ate a special gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free lunch of grilled fresh Mahi-Mahi, zucchini noodles and butternut squash (because I love veggies). Nice waterside setting on Blackwater Sound (part of Florida Bay), near the Marriott. Great stop on our way to Marathon from Ft Lauderdale airport.

We stayed at key largo Marriot resort and did not realize sundowners was a few doors down. The dinner was fantastic. Lots of gluten free options.

We had the sundowners oysters -baked with spinach and cheese and the regular oysters too. Delicious. Only thing was I said to waitstaff “both of these oysters are gf right?” She looked at me with three heads and said of course.... first the waitstaff was wonderful other than this. When oysters came they were served with saltines!!!! Thankfully off on side but still.

The dinner was soooooo good. We had the filet mignon with lobster crab Oscar. And the key lime seafood. The seafood dish was the best. So unique in all flavors. I recommend that as u can get filet Any where. After or before stop by the Caribbean Club to see Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall famous movie site. The Club is a few door down from sundowners and only serves drinks and takes cash but worth it nostalgia.

Knowledgeable staff, great service, gf menu with a good selection. The baby back ribs were excellent. Good salad and French fries. No issues. So glad we found this place. Will go back soon.

Food: I ordered the GF house salad and GF blackened mahi. The house salad came with croutons on it! But, since it took 40 minutes for the salad, I picked them off (along with any crumbs I could see and any lettuce that touched them) and ate it anyway. I reported it to our waitress once we saw her again and she didn’t seem to care. Mahi was good.

Atmosphere: called ahead to find out wait times. Was told 10-15 minutes for the outdoor patio. We left right away and got there in 20 minutes. Was told all patio seating was reserved. (Would have been nice if they mentioned it when I called). Was seated inside. Sticky tables, super loud, and drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. Would not recommend this place.

We have a family of 3 with Celiac. We called ahead and talked to Richard, one of the managers. Although they do not have a dedicated kitchen, Richard and his staff reassured us that they not just have gf options but that they cook everything is fresh pans, wear gloves and oversee food prep. Richard shared that he is gluten intolerant and has a sense of our concerns. The meal and service were amazing. I had the lobster, shrimp on key lime Tabasco sauce on wild rice. WOW! Highly recommend it!!

Very good food here and preparation controls appear to be in place. They mark their tickets for gf and have a whole gf menu. Server seemed reasonably knowledgeable and was happy to double check things. I shared two entrees and had the creme brûlée for dessert and had no issue. I will return.

I have Celiac and there was a GF menu available. Several items to choose from. The waitress knew to put my order in so it was clearly marked GF. She did not know which salad dressings were GF but brought me some of the two on the side. (Honey mustard and raspberry vinaigrette) Double check- they may change she said they were homemade. I ordered the Key Lime Seafood over white rice. It was delicious! Side salad came with bacon and egg, so if that's not your thing let them know. There are two GF deserts but did not order either. I had no throwing up or diarrhea. Although I did have a belly ache which was probably from the key lime butter sauce. It's pretty rich tasting. Pricey menu but good food. Slow service- they are on island time so just enjoy the view!

Wow! Gluten free menu with a note to let us know they researched the food, the computer system notes the gluten free order and kitchen staff is trained and have separate utensils to use. The food was 5 star all the way (try the cauliflower!!) the atmosphere and view are so amazing. A must stop for my gluten free friends.

The view is what makes this place worth it. Service was slow and inattentive. Several tables around us left before ordering, and it was a weeknight that wasn't too busy. Server got my dinner companion's order incorrect and brought the wrong entrée. He ate it because we were hungry. My food (yellow snapper with lump crab) was very tasty. Cocktail was fine but not amazing (key lime mojito).

In knowledgable waiter. He gave me the gluten free menu and I ordered the ribs. He served me French fries but they appeared to be batter dipped. He couldn't tell me otherwise. I ate the ribs which were very dry then spent the rest of the afternoon vomiting.

There wasn't really anything WRONG with it , but there wasn't really anything RIGHT either. Everything was kind of bland and unfortunate. I absolutely love fish, I get it everywhere, but the blackened mahi mahi had no flavor, I wouldn't have eaten it at all if I wasn't so hungry. My dad had ribs, they were also unflavored and unspectacular. Baked potato was decent but the crème brûlée was runny and cold and the 'strawberry extract' they had on the side was most likely melted Smuckers squeezable jam. The view was pretty. Gluten free menu was pretty small.

Our server wasn't all that knowledgeable, but the rest of the staff seemed to be. The view was amazing, whether you were indoors or outdoors. The blackened mahi mahi was amazing, but the salad I had it on was soggy, limp, and lackluster. My husband enjoyed his ribs.

Completely amazing. Full GF menu. Great food, huge portions for the price. Key Lime Seafood Platter was fabulous. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Even GF desserts. No bread though. The restaurant itself was beautiful, RIGHT ON the water! Our table was a foot from the sea wall edge. We watched the fish and the sunset. Beautiful place! Don't forget to say hi to Oscar the cat.
