GF which I need and greatly appreciate. But it is also vegan which the lack of eggs and butter makes everything very dense. A couple of the donuts were yummy but they are more like a dense cake/bread than a donut. The cake is extremely dense - these scones were even worse and the muffins were dry. I had high hopes but won’t be returning really only bc I only need GF, not vegan - we can make better GF baked goods at home.

Small local bakery, gluten free and vegan. Very friendly staff. Donuts were delicious, had the chocolate and salted caramel. Also purchased the cranberry olive oil loaf…can’t wait to try it.

SunOven is a wholesale bakery located inside Beacon Coffee. It is dedicated gluten-free + vegan. Their products are organic, allergy friendly (ie no nuts or soy), and are free of all preservatives and artificial flavors and colors. They’re also delicious!
I’ve been a fan since they started with just their buckwheat bread in 2014. (Disclaimer - the owner is a dear friend). Our family favorites are the bread, the par baked pizza crusts, doughnuts (especially the maple), cinnamon rolls and rosemary shortbread. Their seasonal tea cookie and doughnut flavors are also delicious.
Many of their baked goods are available in Beacon Coffee daily. Some items are available for online ordering and pickup at Beacon Coffee or US shipping. They’re also available at different cafes, restaurants and markets, mostly in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
We always take some when we travel to visit our family members with Celiac disease. All the products freeze well so it’s good to order a bigger batch if you’re having them shipped.
They also have a holiday menu available in November and December (pies, stuffing, dinner rolls) that makes a great addition to our holiday dinners.
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend!

5 Fir Street does not appear to be a location where people can purchase baked goods. Would be helpful to update this listing with the correct storefront address.
