I stopped by for the first time today after reading all the awesome reviews and having looked over their website and Facebook page. The one really positive is that there is little to no grittiness in their baked goods which is a really big deal in the world of gluten free. I bought a lot of different things to try and over all I was a bit disappointed but that just might be a me thing.

I tried the red velvet cookie sandwich and it was over baked enough that when I bit into it all the frosting squeezed out everywhere. The second problem was that there was too much frosting. The frosting was a bit over sweet causing the cookie to be over powered. I felt like I was eating frosting with crunchy cookie crumbs mixed in.

Next I tried the sugar cookie bar which was a day old but again it was over cooked making it dry. Even day old it shouldn’t have been that dry. The frosting on this was good and well balanced with the amount of cookie.

The snickerdoodle (again day old) was yet again over cooked and plainly dry and hard. It was also missing that awesome buttery flavor I miss so much from my pre-GF days.

Lastly I tried the dinner rolls (from the freezer) and found them dry, dense and they crumbled all over when I bit into it.

Honestly with a few small tweaks this place could be amazing. Unfortunately the death knoll of a restaurant or bakery is lack of consistency. I don’t know if I just hit an off day or if I’m a weirdo that likes non crunchy cookies but for the price that is charged at this place, considering the baked goods as they were today, are not worth the money or drive to me.
