Been here on two different trips to SLC. The quality of the treats are excellent, great location, and clean facility, they even have a sign "no outside food permitted" which is cool. Prices are the normal high for gluten free treats, but they are a dedicated facility with quality products. Limited dairy free options, usually only one item in the display, which stinks since many gluten free eaters also have to eat DF, and it's not that hard to substitute milk and butter with DF alternatives these days. My only two complaints are that the quality isn't always consistent (if you don't get there first thing in the morning there isn't much left, we went at 10 am. one trip we got there in time and filled a box full of treats since we are out-of-towners and when we got home everything was super dry and brittle, disappointing since we spent like $30.) #2 AND the service isn't great. The first time we went no one was at the front but we could here girls laughing and goofing off, the server was picking food out of the display with her bare hands and touching her face and hair, we had to ask her to put gloves on, they also put our small order of two cinnamon rolls in a giant bakery box which wasn't fun eating out of in our car visiting from out of town haha. They were friendly and sweet but mostly seemed inexperienced, didn't know the menu well (like which baked goods where DF, despite that being one of their selling points). On our second trip a year later, no one was at the front of the store again but we could hear chatting and laughing in the back, they eventually came out, this server was also inexperienced. We asked which of the baked goods on display were dairy free. She had no idea and we had to ask her to go find out. I'm not sure if she was confused but instead of asking which of all baked goods on display were df she'd only ask about one (cookies or later cinnamon rolls etc), so we kept having to ask her but what about the rest, and she'd walk back to ask. This happened at least 4 or 5 times which was awkward since we could hear the person in the back answering her, not sure if that was a supervisor or manager but after the second time of her going back there you'd think a supervisor would just come to the front to answer our questions. Sweet girls, but inexperienced, or maybe not properly trained, or just don't care? Disappointing.
Always delicious! You have to visit here to get something sweet. Being able to come to a bakery and not worry about getting sick is the best feeling!!
Outstanding! Owner has Celiacs. If I did not know this was a dedicated gf facility I wouldn't have eaten the cinnamon roll. It IS like the ones mother made when I was a child, long before I had Celiacs. I also tried their cupcakes - they have regular and minis - also outstanding. They sell their own flour mixes, one for cookies and a finer one for cakes. I am SO going back!!!!
Amazing. The best cinnamon rolls EVER! The orange rolls were so good too!! Loved the chocolate chip cookies. Incredible. All gluten free!!!!
This place is great. As they say on the tin it’s all gluten free. I had an ice cream cookie sandwich, cinnamon roll and brownie. All excellent but ate too much sugar in my excitement.
This place is 100% dedicated to a gluten free environment. They don’t make anything that isn’t gluten free!!! The food is also amazing!!! The cinnamon rolls are outstanding!!!!
This place is my absolute favorite to get treats! They are the best gf I have tasted in several states and I love that it is completely gf.
Small menu but all gluten free and delicious. They are very careful about not allowing gluten in the facility. The brownie and cupcake tasted like normal baked goods but without the horrible after effects.
Taste all glutened up but without the stomach aches
Stopped here on a Sat. about 5pm. They were almost out of everything, but he few things they did still have were amazing confections.
Completely Gluten Free facility. Delicious sweets and sandwiches.
Beats the hell out of city cakes for sure. Only had 2 items but both really really good!
This place was yummy! It is a gf facility, they even had a sign of the door saying no outside food. They had the best cinnamon rolls I have had since my celiac diagnosis. Next time I am in SLC this is one place I will be returning to.
This place is unbelievable!! The texture and flavor is so good. This is the only place I have found cinnamon rolls and they are excellent.
The BEST gluten free cinnamon rolls I have ever eaten! A sign on the door states that no outside food is permitted since it is a dedicated gluten free facility... No chance of getting sick!
Delicious - the cinnamon roll was amazing! So glad to find this place on a trip to Utah.
I stopped here one day while visiting Utah and I am glad I found this place. Their cookies and cinnamon rolls are so yummy. I only got one cinnamon roll and wish I got more! I loved their cookies!
Here in SLC for a conference and Gluten Free. Super excited to have a place where I KNOW the food is safe. Starting with a cinnamon roll, but will be back this week to have a sandwich and maybe leave with a loaf of bread and/or dinner rolls. 😃
We visited here twice while on vacation. There were different offerings each time we went. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Just wish I lived closer. This is an absolute must have if in the SLC area!!!
I was downtown and found this bakery using the app. It was near closing time and the supply was limited - I was able to score a red velvet cake ball (tasty) a mini banana caramel cupcake (delicious cream cheese frosting), a French toast bake (breakfast tomorrow?) and both a cinnamon and an orange roll (trying to wait to eat those!). I haven't been able to walk into a bakery and know everything was safe for me EVER. So excited to find this gem!
Excellent 100% gluten free bakery - I love the cinnamon rolls and frosted sugar cookies.
ALL GLUTEN FREE ITEMS HERE! Not all are dairy free or vegan but simply ask if you have dairy allergies and they will let you know which of their items you can have. One of the most moist gf df cupcakes I've ever had, SO good I CRAVE it!
Great food, even better prices!!
OMG! The best GF bakery I've ever had.
If you're ever within 100 miles of this place, go! I have been to several gluten free bakeries and none of them even compare to Sweet Cake. The orange rolls are incredible and the chocolate chip cookie will probably change your life. I've tried almost everything they sell and I haven't tasted anything that I didn't love.
For someone that has to eat GF, This is a place you should try!! I try to only go 2-3 times a month. . But catch myself stopping by more often. . A great and friendly staff always and some of the best bakery items found in SALT LAKE CITY... A 10 in my book.... keep up the good work. .
This place is GREAT! They were so patient as I asked a thousand questions, the Desserts were great, my non GF husband and I shared a few and Vegan (chicken) Tempeh salad sandwich which was tasty! It was a first for both of us. I would recommend this Bakery to everyone!
Amazing! So delicious! Highly suggest the brownie
I am in awe of how delicious the orange roll tasted. I am in town visiting and will return everyday. This is a must for anyone gluten free or not.
Oh my went in around closing time! This stuff is amazing I'm going to make my self sick!!!
Woah. This place blew me away. You know it's a tasty bake shop when you crave their baked goods at odd hours of the day.
Lovely warm cinnamon roll
The only thing that keeps me coming back are their rolls. They're delicious. But they frequently don't have anything Other than treats in the mornings, and today it's not even lunch time and their out of half of their sandwich options.
amazing stuff. highly recommend the raspberry cheesecake bars
I can't explain how tremendous it feels to take my two Celiac kids into a bakery and tell them they can have ANYTHING they want. Everything was very delicious. The staff was outstanding. Great downtown location and spotless inside. Will be coming back several times.
I travel a LOT and this is one of the best gluten free bakeries I've been to! It's cinnamon rolls are fabulous! Hummingbird cake was so good! Everything was divine! I just wished I lived closer!
100 percent gluten free (dedicated GF kitchen) with an owner who has Celiac. They have cookies, cakes, and other sweet pastries that taste great. They also sell baking mixes and have a few sandwich options. Coffee is average and they don't have muffins or protein/energy bars for those who don't want the really sweet pastries, which is why it's only four stars. But a great overall GF bakery.
Great. Yummy and nice that nothing has gluten in it. The chocolate mint brownies are really yummy.
This is such a wonderful place! I just had the Eggs Strata, and I'm on cloud 9!
Amazing! Amazing! I'm not a fan of the bread but I have yet to find a GF bread that I like. Also, I can't spare any calories on bread with this place because there are so many amazing treats!! I was recently in Maui and found a GF bakery that the reviews raved about and it is not even in the same ball park as Sweet Cake Bake Shop. I am so lucky to live close to this gem (but just far enough away if you know what I mean).
Delicious baked goods and everything is gluten free, so you get to choose whatever you want. My non-gf boyfriend really enjoyed it too!
Really delicious desserts- the cupcakes are amazing. Great service- 4 stars because my daughter and I didn't love the very expensive loaf of bread. Will be back frequently!
Excellent! Courteous staff and tasty sweets. I ordered cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and they did not disappoint (red velvet and chocolate cake/choco buttercream). We also picked up some iced sugar cookies as well as cinnamon and some orange sweet rolls. YUM! As a Celiac and a mom of two Celiac kids, I wish we had a bakery like this in our home town!!
Excellent sweet shop. Only one table for sitting. Worth the travel towards U of U.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Absolutely splendid! Cinnamon roll was tender and chewy, not too sweet. Chocolate Mountain. cookie was perfect. The red velvet cupcake I took with me survive the day and was delicious later that evening. What a find! Off the beaten path and a bit of a walk from downtown, but by far, the best GF bakery in town! It's a good thing I am just passing through -- if I lived here, none of my clothes would fit me anymore! Would give more stars if I could.
I got rolls and a strawberry shortcake. Everything was perfect! Since needing to go gf I haven't found any baked goods that are not gritty. These were soft and fluffy and delicious!
I haven't tried crack cocaine but the high and excitement I get from eating their awesome treats has to be pretty damn close! I would not suggest snorting them.
Delicious cupcake and chocolate chip cookie. Sugar cookies were good but had really strong almond extract flavor. A little pricey compared to some other GF bakeries but overall I loved it!
Pecan bars are M-A-Zing.
Their bread is great and I really love their bar cookies!
