The brothers that were working behind the counter were so lovely and accommodating. They made a point of telling my daughters their cookie dough was gluten free. They also checked if the cookie dough was dairy free. They cleaned the ice cream making surface and tools before making their choices. Lovely people and lovely experience.

The ice cream is good and they are very knowledgeable about celiac and careful about cross contamination. They used a separate cold table to roll the ice cream and have gluten free Oreos and gluten free cookie dough as mixin options.

Very willing to clean equipment and take precautions. Does take a few extra minutes as they need to turn off machine to clean and then wait for it to cool down again. My daughter was thrilled to have rolled ice cream.

I was very glad when I stumbled upon Sweet Charlie's in my Rehoboth expeditions this year. I happily ordered a vegan-based rolled ice cream with the So-Cal mix ins (blueberry, acai, banana, coconut, honey) and strawberries, almonds, and more coconut on the top. I informed them of my food intolerances and they took precautions to avoid cross contamination. My ice cream was DELICIOUS and I'll certainly be back the next time I'm in Rehoboth!

This isn’t your normal ice cream. You choose from one of three bases—regular, yogurt, and vegan—and then pick your flavorings to mix in. The problem when I visited was that there was only one gluten-free flavor option. The rest contained cookies or bits of donuts or similar gluten-full ingredients. I had the only gluten-free option, the SoCal. It tasted too much like honey and not much else. On the positive side, the server was impeccable in changing gloves and equipment and making sure the ingredients didn’t contact contaminated items.
This was absolutely the best vegan and gluten free ice cream that I’ve had. The staff was really accommodating when I told them that I was gluten and dairy free and they followed specific procedures to make my dessert. So so so friendly and wonderful and yummy! I had strawberry with sprinkles!
Very poor experience. While they ultimately cleaned the surface, they initially forgot, and then acted very annoyed with us.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Staff knew nothing about products and if they have wheat or not. I asked them to clean the only working frozen slab. They looked annoyed. Won’t be coming back anytime soon!

Great experience ! Made 2 celiac kiddos very happy . Used a clean pan ,changed gloves, discussed gf options , got toppings from a separate bin and it was delicious !

My daughter with celiac has been here twice. Each time, the employees have cleaned the preparing area really well, they helped identify (if needed) GF ingredients, and used freshly cleaned utensils with a smile. Employees seem to be well trained in allergies & celiac and understand the importance of avoidance of cc.

Simply told the staff that my daughter and I had Celiac and the cashier deferred to two employees that totally got it. They got clean spatulas from the back, wiped the pan clean, and changed gloves. Then they got toppings from the back in case their bins upfront got contaminated. Great ice cream to boot. 100% recommended.
