As much as I was dying to try their GF crepes, I refuse to be ripped off for it. First of all they’ll charge you $18 for a gf crepe that probably costs them $2 to make. I understand costs for basic goods have risen substantially but then forcing me to pay a 15% service fee for counter service was just ridiculous. If this place can prove they pay their workers living wages … like atleast $20 an hour then maybe I’d consider going back. Until then I don’t recommend this place.
I really enjoy Sweet Paris as someone with celiac. That said there is a risk of cross contamination as everything is made in the same space. I always ask for a glove change and for wipe down of the grill. I have very sensitive celiac and of the over 10 times I’ve been there I’ve only gotten sick once. Definitely recommend advocating that you have an allergy and not just a preference.
This place is super cute, everyone is so friendly and the food tastes amazing! I ordered The feast (no tomato & no feta/ricotta) with gluten free batter. No symptoms and didn’t taste gluten free at all, it also didn’t fall apart on me!! They asked if it was an allergy and then cleaned the surface they would be using and changed their gloves! Overall, fantastic place!
This place is so cute and the crepes are delicious! They have a gluten free/vegan batter available and they have an allergy protocol. If you tell them it is for an allergy they do a glove change and they clean the cooktop before making anything gluten free! The cashier even asked if there was an allergy they should be aware of before I got a chance to tell her. I’ve eaten here twice and I haven’t reacted on either visit. Definitely would recommend!!
