Gluten Sensitive

Overall Rating

Review

I let the waitress know I was gf and she had a chef come to my table to take my order. He asked, “What are you looking at and I’ll tell you how we can make it gluten free.” I ordered the queso, Shrimp Alfredo, and Cherry Limeade. The chef suggested potato chips as a substitute to tortilla chips to avoid cc. I’m intolerant/sensitive so cc doesn’t affect me as severely. I was not affected by the tortilla chips at all. The shrimp Alfredo came with gf pasta and the chef explained that he could make Alfredo sauce with cream, butter, and cheese, fully omitting any flour. He asked if that sounded good to me. I really appreciated how they asked if things sounded good rather than staying that something was just going to be this way or that. I felt very understood and safe. I wanted the dessert but was completely full by the meal I already had. To finish off, the Cherry limeade came in a special souvenir cup. I figured it would be expensive and only come with the single serving, but I was surprised to get multiple refills included in the $9 price! Also to note, someone from the kitchen brought my food out separately from my boyfriend’s order, which was definitely not gf, adding to me being more impressed with their precaution and attention to my needs.

Actually impressed....told bartender I was GF (didn't want to wait for a table) and he sent a manager out to go over all their options and make suggestions. I did the rotisserie chicken dinner and it was really good. It came with red skinned mashed potatoes and veggies. Came a second time and the same scenario with a Manager happened. I didn't get sick and trusted the recommendations especially when asked about cross contamination.

My daughter and I (both celiac) enjoyed our food and felt great afterward. Manager came over to talk through all options and make sure our order was marked as allergy for kitchen staff Loved that my picky daughter could get GF noodles cooked separately with no cross contamination. I had the rotisserie chicken.

Most of the menu (even the rice and corn-based dishes) are out because of cross contamination. I had to wait for a manager to order and then the server and manager wrote down two different orders. After being seated for an hour, we are all still waiting for food.

There are no GF markers on the menu however the waitstaff is well aware of what items are available to be made GF. I ordered the Triassic Trio; a lot of food! Food was brought out separately and the chef was alerted to the allergy concerns.

Amazing service! The chef came and spoke to us directly and was incredibly kind and accommodating. I really wanted nachos but their tortilla chips were not gf so he made me nachos with safe for me potato chips! It was also my birthday and they brought me a dessert specific for my needs.

We have been several times. The chef comes to talk to you. This time the chef kept talking on his headset and barely told me what to eat and wanted me to order so fast. If I hadn't been here before I wouldn't know what to get. I also have a pepper allergy and my food was definitely peppered (luckily not anaphylactic- just burns my lips and need a benadryl). A friend with a severe dairy allergy came here 2 days ago and had to use 2 epi-pens. Not sure what is going on here now...

Do not eat here!! Our waitress had a chef come out, he told us the nachos he could make gluten free he would just change out the nacho chips to regular potato chips we said ok... some other man brings out a plate of nachos I said are these gluten free for told us... I start eating them... 5 minutes later the chef comes out with the gluten free nachos 🤦‍♀... then we get told the frys are gluten free from the manager.... minutes later the head chef comes out and tell us they are not gluten free. I would never ever go back here again..... let’s just say I am sick as ever right now from this place.

The chef came out to see me and personally take my order. She was able to modify most of the items on the menu that I was looking at (burgers). Then later they took the extra time to make sure my burger was GF. The only downside was not being able to get fries, but they had really good mashed potatoes instead. If shopping at Disney Springs again, they would be my top pick!

My two celiac kids ordered gluten free pasta. When it came it had bread on it that did not look gluten free. When I asked they said sorry it is not gf bread!!!! Had I not asked we would have had a terrible cross contamination issue. They rushed to remake the pasta and the noodles came out hard. Beware and be careful.

Food was celiac safe with GF buns. No dedicated fryer. Waited 20 minutes to talk to a chef who acted very annoyed and like he was too busy for our questions. We had reservations for a second night which we canceled due to the way we were treated. Didn't get sick and atmosphere is really cool but do not recommend.

We went here because it was 100% rated in this app and we were traveling and wanted to play it safe... the first visit went really well and instilled a lot of confidence... so on our last day of the trip, I decided to play it safe again and eat hear so I would not be sick for my 11 hour car trip home... well, fortunately my meal was fine, but unfortunately, they served my daughter regularly pizza... I had noticed that it looked different and even had them double check before letting my. celiac daughter eat it... (I figured maybe they switched bread brands, but I was also concerned because to prevent my 1yo son from being covered in gluten, we ordered him gluten free mac and cheese... and my wife said it tasted too good to be gf...) Anyway, the waitress checked and said that it was fine, but as soon as my daughter took a bite, she ran out and said that now she is being told otherwise.... While the management handled it reasonably well, and even had paramedics called in (as it was ordered off the allergen menu), if they made this mistake for someone who hadn't eaten there before, there would be much worse consequences... because they wouldn't have known... they even said allergy when they placed her plate on the table... we're still waiting to see how much she actually ate, and whether it was enough to get her to vomit, or just enough to get her to be devil child for 11 hours in the car... don't want to get in the car until we know the extent...

Just ate here and so far my favorite meal in Disney. Chef came out to go over what I could have and what my son could order from the kids menu. Delicious Mac n cheese for my son, cheese burger for my other peanut allergic son (could get GF buns) I had the meat trio-steak, scallops in a chimichurro sauce and shrimp and rice pilaf. Chef brought out the allergy meals as well. All portion sizes at the table were huge. We could have split the entrees.

As local Orlando residents, my 11-year old Celiac son and I have eaten here dozens of times without any contamination issues. (And I'm super sensitive!) Just tell your server you have "food allergies" at the table and they'll bring a chef out. They're all very knowledgable about Celiac and gluten and can help you find a meal you'll enjoy. I LOVE the GF Omnivore Salad and our son loves the ribs. Dryer is not dedicated - no fried foods here. Great Celiac family place to safely eat at Downtown Disney Springs!

an update review.....the last review left me certain that this was a risk but we tried it. The chef came out and personally took my celiac daughters order on a bright pink slip, then our waiter came back for the rest of the family. The chef gave us about 15 options. On a side note they also unlocked the dino dig area for my five year old even though it was closed because we got there at 740 and they closed at 8. They went out of their way, provided excellent service, and my daughter did not get sick.
